MAJOR SUCCESS FOR UBISOFT GAMES AT THE GAMES CONVENTION 2004 Paris, FRANCE œ August 27, 2004 œ Ubisoft, one of the world‘s largest video game publishers, today announced the awards and nominations won by its games at the Games Convention 2004 in Leipzig, Germany. The much awaited RTS, The Settlers ®: Heritage of Kings™, was rewarded by the GC 2004 jury during the Official Show Award —Best of GC 2004“ as Best PC Game. Other Official Nominations of GC 2004: The Settlers ®: Heritage of Kings™ œ Best PC Graphics Brothers In Arms™ œ Best Xbox game Prince Of Persia ® 2 œ Best PS2 game Giga Games Awards: Far Cry™ œ Best Game Sam Fisher œ Best Hero With a 500 square meters booth, Ubisoft set up 4 theme worlds with its games: The Settlers ®: Heritage of Kings™, Brothers In Arms™, Prince of Persia ® 2 (working title) and Myst IV®: Revelation . Tom Clancy‘s Splinter Cell ®: Chaos Theory™ was presented behind closed doors and has been seen by 10,000 visitors. Ubisoft also organized a special event for The Settlers ®: Heritage of Kings™ which was attended by 400 guests and climaxed with a performance of the Finnish band, Apocalyptica. "I am really happy with our results after 4 days of trade show. With every year this fair becomes more and more anticipated. This year we had a huge growth in appointments at the Business Center both with partners and journalists where we met with our premium contacts. As a result, we got very positive feedback from retailers and gamers on our line up," said Odile Limpach, managing director of Ubisoft‘s division in Germany. With more than 100,000 international visitors, the GC 2004 was a real success.
