The nation’s active winningest coach in college football (all division), a nine-time Ivy League Football Champion and one of the all-time winningest head coaches in NCAA Football Cham- pionship Subdivision history, Al Bagnoli was named Columbia’s Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football in February 2015. He begins his fi fth season at Columbia in 2019. Nationally known for his ability to turn football programs into winners, Bagnoli arrived at Columbia after 23 years at the University of Pennsylvania, where he totaled a 148-80 overall record and a 112-49 record in the Ivy League. His Penn teams won nine Ivy League Champi- onships, including six undefeated conference marks (1993, 1994, 2002, 2003, 2009, 2010) and three perfect seasons (10-0 in 1993 and 2003, 9-0 in 1994). In 37 years as a head coach, Bagnoli’s career record currently stands at 254-119. His career winning percentage (68.1%) ranks fi rst among active FCS coaches and fourth all-time among FCS coaches. His 254 victories rank as the 23rd all-time total in the history of college football, fi rst among active college football coaches at any level, sixth among all-time FCS coaches and fi rst among active FCS coaches. Bagnoli’s 123 career Ivy League victories rank as the second highest total in league history. He served as head coach at Penn from 1992-2014 and now at Columbia from 2015-present. is the only coach to work at three diff erent schools: Cornell (1899-00), Harvard (1908-16) and Columbia (1923-24). • Bagnoli owns fi ve of the Ivy League’s top marks for most victories against one Ivy League school. NEW YORK—Quarterback Ty Lenhart accumulated 253 total off ensive yards and was responsible for three touchdowns, Columbia rushed for a season-high 255 yards and the Lions’ defense limited Ivy League rushing leader Penn to 93 yards as it registered its largest Homecoming victory in school history with a 44-6 win. Columbia was dominant from the start and played its most complete game of the season. Led by Lenhart, the Lions scored 44 unanswered points and led 44-0 before Penn scored its lone touchdown in the fourth quarter. Columbia outgained Penn 413-232 in total yards, 255-93 in rushing yards and registered 24 fi rst downs to Penn’s 14. Columbia’s defense limited Penn to just 93 rushing yards, 3.6 yards per play and 0-3 on fourth downs. Lenhart was named the John Toner Homecoming Player of the Game as he rushed for a career-high 95 yards on 11 carries and completed 70 percent of his passes (14-20) passes for 158 yards. From the opening kickoff , it was all Columbia. On its fi rst off ensive play, Len- hart completed a fl ea fl icker-pass to Mike Roussos that went for 47 yards, then Lenhart gave the Lions a 7-0 lead on a 1-yard run following a fi ve-play, 75-yard drive. Columbia went up 10-0 when the Lions’ defense forced the Quakers into a turnover on downs and Alex Felkins converted a 43-yard fi eld goal with 5:44 left in the fi rst quarter. Columbia took a 17-0 lead in the second quarter when Dante Miller scored on a winding 17-yard touchdown run following a 70-yard drive spanning six plays. Broderick Taylor scored his fi rst career touchdown in the third quarter on an 11-yard run to give the Lions a commanding 23-0 lead. Columbia made it 30-0 when Lenhart hit senior tight end Rory Schlageter for an 11-yard touch- down pass after a 54-yard scoring drive. Lenhart’s second 1-yard run gave the Lions a 37-0 lead with 7:29 to play and Columbia took a 44-0 lead when senior Jalen Williams forced a fumble which was recovered by junior Luke Adams, who rambled 20 yards for a defensive touchdown.
