(Detroit – January 28, 2016) - MotorCity Casino Hotel is proud to welcome Johnny Gill to Sound Board on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 8:00p.m. Opening will be Christopher Williams.
Johnny Gill is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He is the sixth member of the R&B/pop group New Edition, and a member of the super group LSG with Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat. Gill is currently in the new group Heads of State with New Edition members Bobby Brown and Ralph Tresvant. Gill released several projects as a solo artist including his new album, “Game Changer.”
In 2008 as a member of New Edition, Gill received the Golden Note Award at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. He has also received four Grammy Award nominations - one was with New Edition and the other with LSG. Gill was also named a Top 10 Adult R&B artist for 2015 by Billboard.
