For the third consecutive Saturday, first-crop sire Scat Daddy achieved the notable feat of being represented by a group/graded winner. Having set the ball rolling with Shared Property in the GIII Arlington-Washington Futurity on September 10, the Ashford stallion followed up with Finale in the GIII Summer S. a week later and then completed a notable treble when Daddy Long Legs led home an Aidan O=Brien 1-2-3 in the G2 Royal Lodge S. three days ago. This encouraging sequence means that Scat Daddy now holds a lead of nearly $380,000 over his nearest pursuer, Hard Spun, among the freshman sires.
