Airoforce is Colonel John’s most accomplished son. He has the long, lean elegance of a classic , reminiscent of his sire Colonel John and second damsire, Canadian , yet Airoforce received speed from his damsire Cuvee. Airoforce victorious at distances ranging between 6 1/2-furlongs and 1 1/16-miles. Although he competed mainly on turf, Airoforce won a key stake over dirt. His immediate pedigree has dirt and turf attributes.

A magnificent looking $350,00 OBS April sales purchase campaigned by John Oxley, Airoforce flashed precociousness and speed in his debut, drawing away to a six-furlong turf sprint by 3 1/4-lengths in a sharp 1:10.34, just a second off the Downs track record.

Airoforce dominated the Dixiana Stakes (G3) by 2 1/2-lengths over a full field of fourteen over the turf, including Kitten, Surgical Strike.

Airoforce faced a full field of high-class youngsters as the favorite in the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1). and missed the victory by a neck, after racing in traffic and being distracted in the stretch. He defeated Highland Sky, Dressed in Hermes, and Camelot Kitten, along with international runners.

Airoforce showed his versatility over a sloppy track capturing the Kentucky Club Stakes (G2) by 1 3/4 lengths. He bested , Mor Spirit, and Mo Tom. The Gray ’s efforts earned him 120 on the 2015 Experimental Free Handicap, higher than Gun Runner, , and .

As a 3-year-old, Airoforce placed in the Penn Mile Stakes (G3) after a troubled beginning, and just missed by a nose in the prestigious National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2) at Saratoga.

The WinStar homebred Colonel John ( – Sweet Damsel, by ) was capable from seven furlongs to 1 1/4-miles over dirt, turf, and synthetics. He retired as a 4-year-old with a record of 15-6-3-1 ($1,779,012).

The son of champion sire Tiznow flashed precocity as a 2-year-old, winning or placing in all four starts, including a strong second place in the CashCall Futurity (G1), now known as the .

At three, Colonel John captured the Stakes (G3) and (G1), before finishing a troubled sixth after having to steady in the 2008 (G1). Colonel John proved himself at the classic distance of 1 1/4- miles in the (G1).

The following year, Colonel John showed his adaptability with a victory in the one mile Wickerr Stakes over the Del Mar turf. After racing in mid-pack and having to go wide in the Goodwood Stakes (G1) over Polytrack, Colonel John placed second by a neck.

DISTAFF LINE Chocolate Pop (Cuvee – White Chocolate, by With Approval) won or placed in four of six starts as a dirt sprinter, and retired with a 6-1-3-0 ($66,757) record, as the highest earner and most accomplished out White Chocolate (With Approval), an allowance class turf miler. Chocolate Pop placed second by narrow margins in the Affair Stakes and Stakes.

Chocolate Pop’s half-sister Jacolatt (Twining) is also a stakes-placed dirt sprinter.

Airoforce’s second dam White Chocolate is a half-sister to two stakes-winning full sisters by Sweetsouthernsaint (Saint Ballado, line); Saint Knows, a listed winning turf sprinter and the most accomplished in the immediate family, and Her Sweet Saint, a multiple stakes-winning dirt sprinter.

Cuvee (Carson City - Christmas Star, by Star de Naskra) won or placed in six of seven starts as a 2-year-old from 4 1/2-furlongs to a mile.

After capturing his debut by 6 1/4-lengths, Cuvee was equally impressive in the 5 1/2-furlong Kentucky Breeders' Cup Stakes (G3), dazzling by 8 1/4-lengths. After placing a troubled third in the Bashford Manor (G3), Cuvee retuned to his spectacular ways, dominating the Saratoga Special (G2) by 7 1/2-lengths and defeating Pomeroy, Limehouse and . The Belmont Futurity (G1) was no contest for the contenders as Cuvee won for fun, speeding away to a 8 1/4-lengh victor over Value Plus.

Cuvee’s distance limitations were uncovered in the 2003 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) when he tried two turns for the first and last time in his career. He stalked the pace four-wide for five furlongs and tired to twelfth place.

Cuvee returned as a 3-year-old to place in the listed Matt Winn Stakes and Kentucky Cup Sprint (G3) but finished out of the money after a rough trip in the 2004 Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1). After four years at stud, Cuvee was relocated to Turkey.

Cuvee is the sire of 29 blacktype earners.

MR PROSPECTOR (Raise A Native--Gold Digger, by Nashua). Has a wonderful affinity with the Northern Dancer line, the catalyst being Native Dancer carried in the cross, through a son and a daughter. His sons Down Under had the penchant to leave runners with an affinity with rain affected ground. Very few runners appear to be line bred to Mr Prospector in a sex balanced pattern. The horse is still very much up front in pedigrees. The juvenile WAKI AMERICAN from the first crop left by Latin American was inbred to MR PROSPECTOR through male and female lines. In New Zealand the homebred horse HIS EXCELLENCY (Roughcast US- Gem in the Rough US , by Mr Prospector) has an important Mr Prospector factor.

An important factor in the MR PROSPECTOR saga , being that great inflluence's damsire. SEGULA also left SABETTE and STAVROULA. The TesioPower bloodline computer programs carries 38 stakeswinners line bred to NASHUA. One was the champion USA 3YO filly HOLLYWOOD WIILDCAT with her S /Mr Prospector cross. NATIVE DANCER 1950, (Polynesian-Geisha, by ) is probably the most influential individual in linebreeding exercises as the 21st century approached Statistics show that 78 per cent of runners carrying two strains or more of Native Dancer win races and 28 per cent annexe stakes races. Many of the great nicks, in particular the influential Northern Dancer-Mr Prospector and the Northern Dancer- Blushing Groom crosses have gained impetus through Native Dancer's presence, through a son and a daughter . In early 1995 commentators drew attention to a burgeoning nick involving over Alydar . This had produced three Group I winners from only 12 raceday representatives. Native Dancer was the catalyst, being carried through a son and daughter in the exercise. The outstanding British middle distance star carried Native Dancer through a son and a daughter in the fourth and sixth removes, showing he's readily available still in contemporary pedigrees. A rather controversial 1980 horse DANZATORE ( Northern Dancer-Shake A Leg , by Raise A native) was purchased at considerable expense for stud duty. However, when he was carried further back in pedigrees as a damsire his Native Dancer presences saw his fortunes soar. The outstanding ANZ champion VEANDERCROSS has prefaced his influence in spectacular style. The $NZ 1400 purchase, who went on to win $NZ 3.5 million is inbred to NIJINSKY II through a son and a daughter. Nijinsky II took time to himself as a line breeding influence but as the years passed he came into his own. The New Zealand three-year-old BUZZ LIGHTYEAR (Gold Brose AUS-Excitable KID US, by Youth) won the Gr I pair the NZ 2000 Gns and Bayer Classic and the NZ Derby Trial in succession. He carried Nijinsky II through male and female lines in the third and fourth removes.

The 1999 New Zealand 2000 Gns & Bayer Classic winner BUZZ LIGHTYEAR (Gold Brose - Excitable Kid by Youth) was linebred to Nijinsky II through male and female lines in the third and fourth removes.

NORTHERN DANCER 41961 Nearctic 1954 Natalma 1957 M 2-d B NORTHERN DANCER (Nearctic-Natalma, by Native Dancer). This legendary figure had a bonanza 1995 as a linebreeding presence. The winner , who scored when beginning a new campaign, carried Northern Dancer through a son and a daughter. The English 2000 Guineas success boasted two male Northern Dancer lines plus Bubbling Beauty, a half sister to Northern Dancer's dam Natalma. Down Under the Sydney Golden Slipper Stakes for two-year-olds was annexed by Flying Spur, who carried Northern Dancer through a son and a daughter along with his half sister Spring Adieu. An Arrowfield Stud product, Flying Spur was by ,whose climb to stardom was boosted by the Northern Dancer /Spring Adieu duplication. Studies by Alan Porter, an English authority working in New York, showed that Northern Dancer presences had a remarkable affinity with Teddy. Among the quality performers carrying NORTHERN DANCER through sons only, something like 78 per cent carry a male line through LYPHARD or NIJINSKY II when these two are represented through female factors. NORTHFIELDS is another in this category when the Northern Dancer circumstances are examined This is a challenging situation for buffs to explain.

Foaled in 1961, Raise A Native is now featuring far enough back in family trees to make a major impact. Four Northern Hemisphere stakeswinners were linebred to him in 1993 and this had doubled in 12 months according to statistics in the "Owner-Breeder." The 1998 Kentucky Derby winner the $27,000 purchase ( --Really Blue, by ) was linebred to Raise A Native through a son and a daughter in the third and fourth removes.
