Golf’s version of Little League baseball has seen significant growth since its inception as a pilot program in 2012. PGA Junior League teams consist of at least 10 players, managed by a PGA Professional, with each player receiving a uniform and PGA instruction. The format is focused on fun and recreation, and is a great way to begin in the sport. 2016 Recap o 1200 PGA Junior League Golfers (84% increase from ‘15 to ‘16) o 102 Teams (88% increase from ‘15 to ‘16) o 84 PGA Professionals (189% increase from ‘15 to ‘16) Drive, Chip & Putt Championship In an effort to promote interest and participation in the game of golf, the Mas- ters Tournament Foundation, United States Golf Association (USGA) and The PGA of America announced the creation of the Drive, Chip and Putt Champi- onship, a free, nationwide junior skills competition that will conclude at Augusta National Golf Club in 2016. It is because of the annual giving that the Colorado PGA REACH has been able to accomplish many of our recent goals. Annual giving can be made at anytime during the year. Colorado PGA is registed with the Com- munity First Foundation and is part of ColoradoGivesDay. This annual statewide movement celebrates and increases philanthropy in Colorado through online giving and is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Additionally, Colorado PGA REACH is setup to accept year-end giving through ColoradoPGA. com. This is an excellent way to reduce your tax burden for the year, all while doing something for the greater good. One-Time Giving Estate Planning Colorado PGA REACH can benefit greatly from families and individuals who have included Colorado PGA REACH in their estate planning decisions. A planned gift has the potential to create a long-lasting legacy. Endowments Creating an endowment allows your gift to Colorado PGA REACH to continue into perpetuity. The 14th PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit presented by OMEGA Since 1988, premier instructors have gathered in an effort to increase their knowledge of the golf swing, learn more about key technology outside the lesson tee, and share best practices with their colleagues. The 14th PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit presented by OMEGA is another important chapter in a PGA Professional tradition of highlighting the core values of educating others and sharing knowledge. The Summit theme of “A Lifetime Learning Experience” encompasses what we all have come to love and appreciate about the game of golf. It is a lifetime pursuit of excellence through continued learning and networking with our industry peers. This Summit connects the best, the brightest and the aspiring professionals to exchange ideas and knowledge. We trust the outcome will be that our PGA Professionals will return home to enhance the enjoyment of golfers and continue to grow our great game. We have assembled a celebrated cast of instructors, including nine national PGA Teachers of the Year. They are joined by several of the world’s premier performers to ignite new ideas or polish some that may already be within your teaching repertoire. Our thanks to presenting sponsor, OMEGA, for its commitment to PGA Professionals and to this outstanding educational event. We also thank our media partner, GOLF Magazine, for its sponsorship of the World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame reception. Our goal is to serve all campers and families who have a desire to benefit from the programs we offer, and one way we are accomplishing this is by assisting others 2014 BOARD OF across the US in starting Adam’s Camp in their communities. Another vision we have is to continually improve our programs here in Colorado. Several DIRECTORS factors have come together making it clear that the best way we can do this is to create a new building ~ ~ ~ at Snow Mountain Ranch along with our partner there, the YMCA of the Rockies. Some of these factors are: Bill Harmon, President • As a result of more stringent licensing guidelines, we have an immediate need for a commercial kitchen for meal preparation. This need is urgent but will also help to assure the future of our Brian Simms, Vice Pres. Adventure Camp programs. • Two therapy teams will use this new space right away, allowing for improved access to experts, colleagues and equipment. A huge added bonus is that having our therapy provided in a space Clay Waller, Treasurer separate from other YMCA programming and away from traffic will be safer for our children. • This new therapy space is in addition to that which we already use so the potential for growing our Jennifer Roitz, Secretary therapy programs will exist in the future as a result of this added space.

Women’s Golf Tournament Program - 116 pages PING CELEBRATES 50 YEARS IN G OLF RICH HARVEST FARMS Fifty years ago, the first PING® putter was shipped from the Redwood City, California, garage of Karsten and Louise Solheim. The PING® 1A™ putter inaugurated a revolution in golf club design and manufacturing that would see Karsten’s company grow into a brand world-renowned for innovation and unequalled quality. Karsten, with his family at his side, went on to pioneer custom fitting and bring new processes to the manufacturing of golf clubs, including investment casting and heat treating. He recognized the value of scientific research and employed high speed cameras and a robotic golfer (The PING® Man) to analyze the dynamics of the golf club. His insistence on adhering to strict engineering principles and tight manufacturing tolerances raised the level of product performance and quality throughout the golf industry. It all led to more enjoyment for golfers all over the world. An engineer with an extensive background in the defense, aerospace and computer industries, he remains the only engineer to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Among the game-changing products that will be forever associated with Karsten are the Anser® putter and EYE2® irons. BUNKER HILL His wife of 63 years, Louise, who turned 91 in June, vividly remembers RICH HARVEST FARMS the moment Karsten informed her of his new putter’s name. “He came Be careful running into the kitchen,” she recalled, “and said, ‘I’ve got a name for my putter.’ I said ‘That’s nice, honey,’ and we ate our hamburgers and Proud sponsorof the of LPGA flat green vegetables without any particular celebration.
