UBISOFT TAKES RUGBY TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH RUGBY CHALLENGE 2006

Adds New Sport to Growing Roster

Paris, FRANCE œ September 22nd, 2005 œ Ubisoft, one of the world‘s largest video game publishers, today announced that it has reached a co-publishing and distribution agreement with Hip Interactive Europe, an international publisher of PC and video games, to bring Rugby Challenge 2006 on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Xbox® video game system from Microsoft and Windows® PC DVD-ROM in Europe and PAL territories. Developed by Swordfish studios, the creators of the critically-acclaimed Rugby , Rugby Challenge 2006 is scheduled for November 2005.

Earlier this year Ubisoft announced its intention to enter the sports arena, and one of its first titles œ And 1® Streetball œ will be released during Q4 of its fiscal year. Rugby Challenge 2006 is an example of its commitment to the sports genre, and will be the first title published by Ubisoft in this segment to hit shelves.
