Immediately following the Weekend, summary broadsheets of both the proceedings (3) and draft Public Space Strategy (4) were issued, followed in mid-June by a 12 page full colour summary of the Vision (5), which was distributed to the whole town, through the local free newspaper. In August 2002, four companion reports were published: Scarborough 2002, an audit of the town today (6), A Diary of Contact, a diary of community animation and cultural audit (7), A Vision for Scarborough, the full report of the Community Planning Weekend (8), and The Scarborough Renaissance Charter (9). There are lots of places to visit including Whitby, Filey, Bridlington, and Goathland where “Heartbeat” was made. Flamingo Park and Peasholm Park are not too far away, ideal for children. Visit Scarborough Castle and take a tour around Rotunda Museum for an insight into geology and the “Gristhorpe Man”. The venue is located just north of Scarborough on the A171. Immediately following the Weekend, summary broadsheets of both the proceedings (3) and draft Public Space Strategy (4) were issued, followed in mid-June by a 12 page full colour summary of the Vision (5), which was distributed to the whole town, through the local free newspaper. In August 2002, four companion reports were published: Scarborough 2002, an audit of the town today (6), A Diary of Contact, a diary of community animation and cultural audit (7), A Vision for Scarborough, the full report of the Community Planning Weekend (8), and The Scarborough Renaissance Charter (9).
