Ettore Sottsass (1917-2007) ‘Naomi’ bookcase Meccani copper plate, firebrand and numbering. Maple base, briar paneling, green and blue print laminate, cherry columns, maple and aniline coloured shelves and vertical panels, Elements on top treated with red aniline, vertical elements treated with black aniline and maple and glass. The Robertaebasta gallery, directed by Roberta Tagliavini and Mattia Martinelli, has specialized in 20th century decorative art since 1967. It displays pieces by the most famous Italian and foreign designers, including furniture by Gio Ponti, Borsani, Bugatti, Terragni, Lancia and Buffa; glass by Venini, Barovier, Seguso, Salviati and De Poli; ceramics and porcelain by Ginori, Lenci, Gio Ponti, Melandri, Chini and Nonni. In the domain of French Art Deco, it offers glasswork by Lalique and Daum and furniture by Ruhlmann, Leleu, Prinz and Arbus. In recent years the collection was enlarged to include furniture, lighting, artwork, prototypes and design objects dating from 1950 to 1990.
