Fog 21 droplets can also contain bacterial and fungal aerosols, but our understanding of fog biology is 22 limited. Using metagenomic tools, we provide the first culture-independent look at fungal and 23 bacterial communities in fog at two fog-dominated sites: coastal Maine (USA) and the Namib 24 Desert (Namibia).
