April 2007 Legislation passed to increase the legal age to play lottery games in South Australia from 16 to 18 years. The penalty for selling to, or buying a ticket or claiming a prize on behalf of, a person aged less than 18 years increased from $500 to $5,000.

June 2009 South Australia’s largest lottery prize of $53.3 million was won with an Oz Lotto ticket.
July 2009 An annuity-style Instant Scratchies ticket was launched, with the chance to win a top prize of $75,000 every year for ten years.
October 2009 SA Lotteries was one of only two lottery operators in the world to achieve the highest level (4) of accreditation under the World Lotteries Association (WLA) Responsible Gambling Framework.

June 2011 Powerball increased from 65 cents to 75 cents per entry.
February 2012 Monday and Wednesday X Lotto was revised with a sixth prize division and increased from 40 cents to 50 cents per entry. The Division One prize was a guaranteed $1 million or an equal share of $2 million if there were more than two Division One winners.
September 2012 An online play facility was launched through an alliance with Oz Lotteries.
December 2012 Tatts Lotteries SA Pty Ltd was appointed as the Master Agent to operate SA Lotteries’ products and brands for a 40-year term.
March 2013 Powerball changed to 6 from 40 in the first barrel and 1 from 20 in the Powerball barrel. An eighth prize division was added and the cost per entry was increased from 75 cents to 85 cents.
July 2014 Saturday Lotto price increased from 60 cents to 65 cents per game.
August 2015 Set for Life was introduced with a 1st Prize of $20,000 every month for 20 years. Set for Life is a unique eight from 37 numbers game with draws conducted every day of the year. The first draw was held on Friday 7 August 2015.
June 2018 The Pools was discontinued after the draw on 25 June 2018.
