This area includes 66 square miles in the City of Plano, with the balance including northern portions of the cities of Dallas and Richardson and The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) pull together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas parts of the cities of Allen, Carrollton, Garland, Lucas, Murphy, Parker and Wylie. every year. This report examines Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) participation and performance in Texas during the 2005-06 school year. The percentages of Texas public school 11th and 12th grade students participating in AP and IB examinations were higher than in previous years. In 2005-06, the percentages of AP examinees and examinations with scores of 3-5 decreased from the previous year. The percentages of IB examinees and examinations with scores of 4-7 increased from the previous year. Higher percentages of Asian/Pacific Islander and White students earned AP scores of 3-5 and IB scores of 4-7 than African American and Hispanic students.
