On April 21, 2021 at 5pm, Plano’s Student Leaders In the Community club will be hosting a school-wide BLM Discussion in the Cafeteria. Our goal in SLIC is to inspire and empower students and to provide a platform for social causes. This month, SLIC is discussing and further educating ourselves on the social movement of black lives matter, and would love it if you would join us! For more info, visit us on Instagram @plano_slic. We hope to see you soon! TEA maintains that schools must comply with the following requirement: “Every student, teacher and staff member shall wear a mask over the nose and mouth when inside a school building, school facility, facility used for school activities, or when in an outdoor space on school property or used for school activities, wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household.” Based on the updated guidance provided by the TEA, and considering evidence that current safe practices have been effective in mitigating the spread of COVID-19, Plano ISD will continue to follow the instructional plans and safety protocols outlined in our Return to School Plan. Wearing face masks (or face shields for students in preK-2nd grade) will continue to be required in all Plano ISD buildings and at all district events. ************************************************************************ Seniors!
