The team of the Bballzone Time is glad to present the 28th issue of our newspaper. We continue giving everything of our strength to present a fresh and interesting newspaper to our readers despite our short group and any other difficulties.

So, there is always the presentation of some community in our game. We will present the Chinese community in this issue.

Game's Corner: Help and Tips for Bballzone Arenas. Help and useful tips about renting them. (Article by: a-ramune)

Few seasons have passed since the inclusion of arenas’ renting system. Now we have not only to determine appropriate tactics for the match but also to select arena and tickets’ price. Sometimes it allows to save money and sometimes - to create a better atmosphere and bigger home advantage.

Most of the managers probably already got acquainted and accustomed to renting arenas. However, we would like to tell once more about the system of arenas, especially for the new users.

Just after registration, one or even few seasons managers do not need to pay much attention to renting arenas. The biggest part of matches may be played in club’s owned arena of 500 seats. So, when is it that manager should start thinking about arena’s rent?

Arena’s rent is cheaper when it is rented for bigger number of matches. Rent of the same arena for 1 match costs much more than it would cost for bigger number of matches. Arena’s rent for 2 matches will be cheaper, for 3 matches - some more cheaper, etc. However, it is very important not to sign a contract for too big number of matches. If the agreed number of matches is not played in arena till the end of the season, club will have to pay a considerable fine! Meanwhile playing more matches than agreed won’t cause any loss. Thus it is better to indicate a bit smaller number of matches than too big.

If arena is needed for only one match, it is worth to consider renting arena for minimum ~950 visitors. If arena is needed for bigger number of matches, renting arena should be considered for 800 and more visitors.

There are 3 prices of tickets: expensive, average and cheap. When preparing for the match, manager should regard its importance and the strength of the opponent. In normal conditions the most appropriate choice is average tickets’ price. However, if it is a very important match at home, cheap tickets should be considered - it will bring considerably smaller income from the match but home advantage will be bigger. On the contrary, if the opponent is weak and you expect to win surely, expensive tickets could be useful - home advantage will be smaller but income from the match will be bigger. Anyway, manager should be careful and remember that expensive tickets will cause smaller number of visitors, meanwhile cheap tickets will attract bigger number of visitors. Have this in mind when choosing arena for a match.

Arenas also have two features: compatibility and comfort. Bigger compatibility attracts more loyal visitors to watch the match; bigger comfort attracts more casual visitors. Loyal visitors create better atmosphere (bigger home advantage) and casual users bring bigger income.

It is important to remember that interest in match, displayed in the page of Schedule, is calculated regarding average conditions (average tickets, average arena’s features). So, if one of criteria is increased or decreased, the number of visitors may change considerably.

The BballZone basketball manager is running the 31st season of its life, and a lot of competitions have taken part in it. Several of records and statistics have been registered in the game's database. Therefore, some teams and players have written a very glorious history in this game as well. In this issue of the newspaper we will present to you some of the most remarkable achievements until present day.

Let's start with the players that have been living legends of the game because of their great achievement of making the most times appearances in the seasonal Top 5 in the competitions that they have been compete. Of course each one of them in his favourite playing position. So, how would be the Legendary Top 5 until present day? Here it is:

Center - Herkus Lapkūnas, 218cm, is the denominative player of Gandrai in which he played for 20 seasons and was named C of the season for 17 times. However, the most of his career he was playing in the lower World League divisions and Lithuanian leagues. Power Forward - Darius Vainauskis, 206cm, is the denominative player of briedukai in which he is still playing for the 20th season and was named PF of the season for 16 times. His career is mostly in the medium World League divisions and Lithuanian leagues. Small Forward - Tomas Sventoraitis, 205cm, is the denominative player of oklahoma in which he played for 5,5 seasons, now is spending his 11th season for Švelniai gazuoti and was named SF of the season for 12 times. The most productive seasons of his career have been in World League 2 and 3 divisions. Shooting Guard - Herb Ahrens, 199cm, is the denominative player of Meidling Parrots in which he is spending his 17th season of his career and was named SG of the season for 18 times. Also his career is mostly in the medium World League divisions with high productivity in the most of them. Point Guard - Uldis Kleins, 201cm, is the denominative player of Anužu Traktoristi in which he is spending his 18th season of his career and was named PG of the season for 21 times (!!!). Most of his career is played in the medium World League as well.

Another significant achievement is the MVP of the season award and Kurt Dasher , SG, 194cm, has won this award for 16 times. He is the denominative player of Bedford Mules and he has been playing in World League 2 and 3 divisions for the most of the time and of course in United States.1.1 league.
