Additional Research Work Project Head & Principal Investigator, ‘Mapping the Diverse Culture of India through Cultural Symbols with specific reference to Bihar’ (on-going project). This research project attempts to identify the typical cultural symbols as well as the values and norms attached to them and as practiced by various ethnic groups in Bihar. More specifically, the area under study is the symbolic representation associated with events in life such as birth, death, marriage, house decoration, and the related socio- religious beliefs prevalent amongst tribal and non- tribal groups.
