The Essex Art Center in Lawrence held a Harvest Dinner on Saturday, November 5th as part of the EAT DRINK and RUN fundraising events that are being held at the Center this fall. Delicious local food and delicacies were home prepared and cooked by very special chefs. This was a creative and casual opportunity to meet new people as well as connect with familiar faces. The evening began by relaxing with a drink and appetizers while enjoying live art and music in part of the newly renovated Essex Art Center galleries. Following this, guests were seated for a harvest dinner in specially prepared dining areas throughout the art center. The delicious dinner menu was complemented with wine (included in ticket price) in a beautifully lit space surrounded by wonderful people and great art. Following dinner they met again in the Essex Art Center Executive Director, Leslie Costello with Kay Berthold-Frishman, former galleries to taste a wide selection of yummy and executive director at Family Services, Inc., comment on a painting being exhibit. beautifully prepared sweets with coffee. The Greater Lawrence Family Health Center held its 7th Annual Making a Difference Gala at the Andover Country Club, on Thursday, November 3rd, 2011. All proceeds from this year’s Making A Difference Gala will support GLFHC’s Lawrence Family Medicine Residency (LFMR) program. Since 1993, when GLFHC became the first community health center in the country sponsoring an accredited three- year residency, LFMR has led the way in delivering superb medical education while providing high quality and efficient care to our patients. The Residency attracts culturally competent physicians from across the United States and around the world, and adds valuable and affordable medical resources to residents of Lawrence and the Merrimack Valley.
