Upadhyay) Pay Band PB-1 ` 5200-20,200/- For Sr. General Manager Grade Pay ` 1900/- davp 10201/11/0211/1112 EN 11/67 The required qualification of the above post as per SRO is as under: Fire Engine Driver Grade ‘A’ : Age: Not exceeding 32 years (Relaxable upto 40 years in case of Government Servants) on the closing date of application. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable to Ex-Serviceman as per Rules. Note: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application. Educational & other Qualifications: (i) Matriculation. (ii) Must possess licence for driving heavy vehicles and have two years driving experience. (iii) Must be Physically fit and capable for performing strenuous duties. This requirement will be tested as under: (a) Height without shoes 165 cms. (b) Chest (on expansion) 85 cms. (c) Chest (unexpanded) 81.5 cms. (d) Weight 50 Kgs (minimum) Endurance test :- (a) Carrying a man fireman lift of 63.5 Kgs. to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds. (b) Climbing 3 meters verticals rope using hand and feet. (c) Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (long jump). Note: Concessions of 2.5 cms in height or chest may be allowed for the members of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates from hilly areas. Unit of posting: Initially the individual will be posted at Vehicle Factory, Jabalpur however, the individual may be transferred to any of the Ordnance Factories situated in different states of India under the discretion of Chairman, Ordnance Factory Board/Sr. General Manager, Vehicle Factory, Jabalpur. Period of Probation: Two Years. Application Fee:- An application fee of Rs.50/- from General & OBC candidates only will be charged. Fee can be paid through DD or Postal Order only. No fee will be charged for SC/ST & Ex-Serviceman. DD or Postal Order should be in favour of Sr. General Manager, Vehicle Factory, Jabalpur payable at Jabalpur. Important Instructions 1. The department reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for physical/endurance/written test by applying suitable• yardsticks. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 2. The candidates who are working in Central/State Government or any Public Sector undertaking should apply. through proper channel otherwise their applications are liable to be rejected. 3. Candidates appearing for written test will come at their own expense. However, outstation SC/ST candidates will be paid TA of second class Railway/Bus fare on production of Railway/ Bus tickets by shortest route as per rules. For this purpose, the name of the nearest Railway Station must be mentioned in the application. 4. Only attested copies of certificates in support of educational/technical qualification, experience, caste and date of birth are to be enclosed with the application. Certificate not having the date of Issue will not be accepted. 5. Incomplete or unsigned applications or applications not signed by the applicants will be rejected. 6. Applications not accompanied with attested copies of certificates will be rejected. 7. Applications received after the scheduled date will be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 8. A passport size photograph should be pasted by the applicant on the application form duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Principal of the School which he or she has last attended. The impression of attestation should come both on photograph and application form i.e. one part of it on the photograph and one part on the application form. Three additional identical photographs should also be enclosed along with the application form indicating the name of the applicant on the reverse. Applications without required number of photographs/unattested photographs/improperly attested photographs will be summarily rejected. 9. The details of scheme of Examination and Syllabus: (a) Physical Standard: As specified above. (b) Endurance Test: (Only for those who qualify in measurement of physical standard) - As specified above. (c) Written Test: (Omly for those who possess prescribed physical standards & qualify in endurance test). 1. General Intelligence (Objective Type) - 70 Marks. (Analogies, similarities, differences, visual memory, relationship concept, 8th standard arithmetic) 1 ½ Hours 2. General Driving Awareness (Objective Type) - 30 Marks. (General Knowledge, Traffic Rules, Knowledge about motor } vehicles, their maintenance, repair) (d) Skill Test: (Only for those who attain a minimum qualifying standard in written examination). Similar to tests being conducted by RTOs for giving Driving Licence. 10. No GPF is admissible under Central Govt. w.e.f. 01.01.2004 and a new pension scheme, i.e. Defined Contributory Pension Scheme is compulsory for all Central Govt. employees. 11. The Two Wheelers segment, with 81 per cent market share, is the leader of the Indian Automobile market, owing to a growing middle class and a young population. Moreover, the growing interest of companies in exploring the rural markets further aided the growth of the sector. The overall Passenger Vehicle (PV) segment has 13 per cent market share. India is also a prominent auto exporter and has strong export growth expectations for the near future.

(b) During 2004-2005, Ordnance Factories have sold items worth Rs. 977.75 crores to Non-defence customers. Factory-wise details of sale to non-defence customers during 2004-2005 is Annexed. (c) The major non-defence customers of Ordnance Factories are Central and Para Military forces, like CRPF, BSF, CISF and NSG, State Police Organizations, Civil Sector and Overseas customers. (d) Capacity in Ordnance Factories has been exclusively created to meet the requirement of Defence Forces. Since actual requirement from Defence Forces varies from the requirement projected during creation of capacity, constant endeavour is made to exploit the installed capacity by increasing supply to non-defence sector through product diversification, after meeting the Defence Forces requirement.
