To achieve this goal, quantitative analyses of fish remains excavated from a water-logged midden of the Sannai Maruyama site (Aomori Prefecture, Japan) are conducted. Dated to the Lower Ento–a phase (ca. 5900–5650 cal BP) of the Early Jomon Period, the midden was associated with large amounts of organic remains, including fish bones. The perspective employed in this dissertation, foodways, emphasizes the importance of social and cultural roles of food. Rather than focus on bio-ecological aspects and nutritional values of food, this thesis regards food as one of the central elements of individual cultures. In Japanese archaeology, food of the Jomon Period has been a central them to the discussion reconstructing the lifeways of prehistoric people of the Japanese archipelago. Large amounts of data, including faunal and floral materials, have been accumulated from numerous rescue excavations of Jomon sites that took place between the 1970s and late 1990s. These archaeological data allowed the development of detailed culture historical studies of the Jomon Period that span over 10,000 years.

Far Eastern Championship nyatanya tidak bertahan lama pada tahun 1938 Jepang menyerang Tiongkok dan berlaku persengketaan untuk merebut Filipina menjadi wilayah jajahan yang turut memicu perluasa Perang Dunia ke II di wilayah Pasifik (Cakara, 2018). Pasca negara Asia mulai berhasil merebut kembali kedaulatan masing-masing dan memunculkan ambisi untuk menginginkan panggung untuk berkompetisi yang bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan kekuatan negara-negara Asia tanpa jalur kekerasan. It specifically examines the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 hosted by the capital city of India, New Delhi and analyzes the development process during the preparation period of the Commonwealth Games. It focuses on three types of developments planned and constructed, planned but not constructed and additional developments. The transport infrastructure development like roads and flyover and in transit sector modifications and expansion of the Delhi metro (rapid rail transit) was analyzed according to the above mentioned categories. Finally, it was deduced that the Commonwealth Games accelerated the development process that was initially planned by the city, but it also compelled the city to invest in developments that were required for the successful delivery of Commonwealth Games.     “Commonwealth game and its impact on our tourism Industry” “A Study in the light of Commonwealth games Delhi 2010” Anurupa B Singh*, Suman Kumar** & Gunjesh Kumar** Abstract World Events like Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games have far reaching impact on the economy of the country hosting it. Tourism industry is often the one which benefits the most. India is gearing up to host the Commonwealth 2010.The purpose of the study is to judge the effect of these events on the developing nations. The impact which leads to development of infrastructural projects along with simultaneous up gradation of public amenities. Looking into the other side of the coin, it also leads to displacement of large number of poor people who flock these big cities for employment. Also investment of huge amount of funds for these projects is particularly eminent in case of developing countries like India. The paper studies the cases of Beijing Olympics to be held in China (2008) and Barcelona Olympics in Spain (1992). The rationality of these games to be held in Delhi is explored by comparing the experiences of Asian Games held in Delhi (1982). The CWG is going to be the first mega-event hosted by Delhi since the 1982 Asian Games, a gap of nearly thirty years. Much has changed, and yet much remains to be unchanged in this time. India is preparing to break out on the world scene as an economic superpower, and the games are a step in propelling India on to the world stage. Yet India is still a poor country, ranked 127 out of 177 in the Human Development Index (HDI), and therefore one must question the rationale of spending more than a billion dollars on a sporting event.
