Agenda Actions Item It was noted that this was the first water hub meeting for some time which included representatives from both the client group and the supply chain and that this would be the format for all future Water Hub Group Meetings.

JR and the group thanked MF for hosting the site visit to Dalton Piercy (including the use of the VR system) which they had found very interesting.

Participants then introduced themselves and gave a brief overview of their roles & their expectations for the day.. 2. Competition Acts Agreement

Agenda Actions Item

Key points raised during the presentations:

 It is great to have the supply chain involved and they are pleased to be included. Things cannot really move forward unless everyone works together.  It would be useful to have a common hash tag for social media posts relating to the BoS Water Hub  The agenda for the day was very busy – perhaps this could be simplified for future meetings  BIM4Water – offered stand for free @ Pump conference (May) and WEM (Nov) – product data  Efficiencies are more than product costs – they include savings on back- office resources.  Transparency is paramount:  May possibly need a BOS Procurement Hub  Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) approach was also suggested  Need to ask supply chain how they can help 4. Break Out Sessions

The meeting split into 4 groups to discuss 4 of the workstreams within the Roadmap. Participants chose which group they wanted to join. Each group was asked to consider:

a) Who they would need assistance from in each of the client, consultant, contractor , supply chain elements b) The next steps required to move the workstream forward 4.1 Feedback from the Efficiencies Workshop: Participants:

Paul Bennet, Derek Keeling, John Browne, Satty Sahota

Next Steps:

Mapping of existing information and approach

a) Build off a baseline b) Method of tracking: Costs  Capex – Material labour, plant/breakdowns  Opex – Plant/Asset, reliability  Time: Critical Path/Man hours  Design

Time On Site  % reduction there

JR asked for agreement in principle to bringing the client/supply chain groups together. The group AGREED to this.

It was agreed that the client group can continue to meet if they wish to.

JR to go through outstanding actions from previous meetings with LS and JR/LS update the actions log.

JR asked for feedback on the day, Comments received included:

 Good to see things from contractor side

 Good to get involved in other areas and see outputs

Agenda Actions Item  Good mix of client, contractor, consultant, supply chain

 Getting into nitty gritty and actually delivering on things

 Meaty discussions around key issues – need to focus on those and plan a way to discuss them

 Contact details would be useful - all agreed that their contact details can be circulated.

 Extremely good day and site visit was particularly interesting

 The day had been useful to get contacts and understand challenges

 Water hub has many of the same challenges as the Pharma Hub

 Growing sense of momentum

 Good mix of people – looking forward to getting into projects

 Collaborative

 Don’t under estimate scale of challenge

 Everyone is facing challenges of adopting this way of working.

 Good/Interesting discussion

 Why is the industry not doing DFMA?

 Thought provoking, everyone has different perspective on things.

 What are other sectors doing? Can their processes be used?
