The AAF DynaMist™ collector has been engineered to provide exceptional removal of oily mists and smokes through the use of industry leading REDClean® FB media. REDClean® FB technology is designed to separate, coalesce, and drain sub-micronic oil particulate created by machining processes with high pressure delivery.

The DynaMist™ collector’s versatile design allows it to be machine mounted or to act as a central unit for multiple machines. All DynaMist™ collectors offer HEPA after filter capabilities that allow air to be vented back into the working environment.

Many manufacturing processes such as machining, heat-treating, CNC turning, cold-drawing, and more can create an oil/emulsion based mist or smoke that can be extremely hazardous to your employee’s health along with decreasing the life time of your equipment causing unexpected and costly repairs. The DynaMist™ effectively filters out this oil mist and smoke to create a clean and safe working environment. Utilizing advanced and unique REDClean® FB technology, the DynaMist™ allows for optimum filtration while providing low maintenance and cost of ownership.

The AAF DynaMist™ M for mist collection system is designed for light 20 mg/m3. Packaged units are available from 400 to 3,600 CFM with direct drive centrifugal packages.

The AAF DynaMist™ S for smoke collection system is designed for light to moderate inlet concentrations from 20 to 150 mg/m3. Packaged units are available from 600 to 2,400 CFM with direct drive centrifugal fan packages.

Both systems are designed so that each filter stage includes differential pressure gauges to monitor filter conditions. Filters are mounted in each filter stage with positive mounting filter clamps to compress filter gaskets securely to eliminate any potential bypass to the final safety HEPA filter. Integral pre-filter housings allow for the addition of a pre-filter stage for protection of fiber bed filters from grinding swarf, solids, and sticky residue that would blind the first stage fiber bed filter.

Leading the Way in Mist Dust Collection Technology

Inlet Plenum An inlet plenum allows for a change in direction of air and a reduction in velocity to separate out large particulate and a sloped bottom for the drainage of the collected fluid.

Pump (optional) An automatic package with small tank, automatic float controls, and a low voltage pump with 28’ of head pressure allows you to discharge Stage 3 the collected fluids back into the machining center HEPA Filter or a larger coolant filtration system.

REDClean® FB Filters (Stage 1&2) Application-specific coalescing fiber bed filters are the heart of these systems and are provided with specific permeability for the customer’s application. These filters are self-draining and Motor/Fan allow for maximum collection efficiency, minimal maintenance, and maximum draining with a filter life of 1-5 years dependent upon application. The combined fiber beds are 99.97% overall efficiency prior to the final HEPA safety filter. Stage 2 Centrifugal Fan Final Coalescing Packaged units include direct-drive centrifugal Filter backward inclined blowers with AMCA rated performance. The direct drive blowers include energy efficient VFD duty rated motors. The direct drive fan arrangement simplifies operation and Stage 1 maintenance. The blowers and motors are housed Initial Coalescing in a sound-attenuated plenum to reduce sound Filter pressure levels.

Final Safety Filter (Stage 3) The final stage is the HEPA safety filter which is a H13 HEPA filter rated for 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 Oil Smoke/ micron. This filter is positioned after the primary Mist Intake coalescing fiber bed filters and receives minimal loading and ensures discharge air quality at a level of 0.002 mg/m3. REDClean® FB coalescing media was developed to eliminate the inherent flaws with current mist and smoke collection equipment.

The advanced filtration technology with self-draining design is engineered to collect mist and smoke aerosols with maximum collection efficiency, minimal maintenance, and maximum reclaim of coolant or oils. The coalescing fiber beds create a wicking layer through a unique process that allows the fiber beds to keep the collected aerosol in a liquid state, preventing evaporation and or bypass. This technology allows for draining whether the collector is online or offline.

All AAF DynaMist™ collectors utilize our unique REDClean® FB media that is designed to increase the filter life span and decrease maintenance costs.

By using a special media type, these filters collect the oil and coalesce it into larger oil droplets until they are heavy enough to fall off the filter’s media fibers. This allows you to reuse the captured coolant and see a longer filter life verses filters that become saturated with collected oil.

An optional pre-filter can be added to the unit for applications where larger particulate is present. This pre-filter captures these particles before it can reach and potentially ruin the deep fiber bed filters. Sales Offices:
