Jairo Solis started for Quad Cities and was sharp over 5.2 innings of work. He allowed just Modesto Nuts (High-A) three hits while walking one and striking out seven to earn his second win of the season. The only runs scored against Solis (2-4), or any River Bandits pitcher, came in the top of the second inning with the LumberKings California League (North) trailing 1-0. Helder hit a towering solo home run to left for his sixth big fly of the year, which briefly tied the 16-24 T2nd 2.0 GB game at one. Kerr stayed on to work into the fourth but failed to make it out of the inning. The 9-1 defeat on Wednesday night was Clinton’s most lopsided Wisconsin 17-20 9.0 loss of the season in Quad Cities this year and it is still the only place this season where the LumberKings have 5-4 T2nd 1.0 GB Burlington 11-24 14.0 Last Night: W, 10-3 vs. Boise played and not won a game. Implementation is by a three-phase plan. The first, at the community level, establishes a pilot program in the SedrorWoolley school district aimed at staff improvement and development, development of curriculum learning packages, field program implementation, and disseminating information about the program. The second phase proposes a two-part study with the Watcom County Park Board and schools participating to develop a county-wide model for the implementation of environmental education in the schools.
