The inauguration was done by HE the Minister Of Culture and Sports, Salah Bin Ghanem Al Ali in the presence of HE the Speaker of the Shura Council, Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud, HE the Minister of Culture and Sports, Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali, other ministers, dignitaries and ambassadors of various coun- tries. The event welcomed 335 publishing houses from 31 di- fferent countries to showcase their publishing. It welcomed visitors of all ages and intere- sts till the 18th of January at DECC. 106.3 FM Radio Olive also had a stall where visitors could come to test their voice and meet Olive RJs. PAGE 16 HIGHLIGHTS The RJs of Radio Olive and Radio Suno were present at Qatar’s nook and corner to in- form listeners about the Qatar National Day celebrations. We did different Facebook live videos to give audience all live updates and visuals from National Day celebrations. Our RJs visited Darb Al Saai, Al Corniche, Al Wakra and Asian Town among others for the live updates during the National Day celebration. We also celebrated National Day of Qatar with MES students. 4500 + students gathered with us on the field & also participated in the run for the National Day of Qatar waving the Flag high with our Olive Suno Team. NATIONAL DAY PAGEPAGE 17 17 HIGHLIGHTS INTRODUCING GENIE -YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND Radio Suno 91.7 FM celebra- ted its second anniversary by introducing a character called Genie. Genie has re- ached to the listeners to fufil their wishes with the tagline “your wish is my command”. Radio Suno received more than 30,000 wishes from the listeners and Genie fulfilled their wishes throughout the month of November by giving gifts like Car, Dining with RJ’s, Health packages, Electronic items, Home appliances and many more. The main highli- ght of this contest was the “Six international tour packa- ge by Cosmo Travels” as the genie’s gift to listeners. PAGE 18 HIGHLIGHTS SECOND ANNIVERSARY AND KERALAPPIRAVI CELEBRATION The popular Malayalam actor Antony Peppe visited Radio Suno 91.7fm during the start of second anniversary celebra- tion. On the same day, Radio Suno celebrated kerala piravi at Olive International School by showcasing different cul- tural activities of kerala like Margamkali, Mega thiruvathi- ra, Oppana, Classical dance, Kalaripayattu etc. The mega event became a visual treat to the listeners and Peppe’s presence made the event more special. PAGEPAGE 19 19 HIGHLIGHTS RADIO SUNO DRAMA FEST FIRST BELL SEASON 2 Radio Suno conducted Ra- dio Drama Competition on the occasion of Second anniversary celebration. Di- fferent drama associations took part in this competition by presenting Nine mesme- rising dramas to the Qatar Drama Audience. The Dra- ma fest happened throug- hout one week On-Air. Mala Parvathy and Murali Menon made the Drama fest more Graceful with their presence as the Guest. The winners of this competition were anno- unced in the First Bell season 2 felicitation ceremony in presence of Olive Suno Dire- ctors Mr. Satheesh Pillai, Mr. Ameer Ali Parivally and Mr. Krishnakumar. PAGE 20 HIGHLIGHTS DANDIYA NIGHT 2019-DIGITAL STAR SHASHIKANT PEDWAL Radio Olive celebrated the Qatar-India year of culture in the most entertaining way possible with “Oman Air Pre- sents Radio Olive Dandiya Night”. On the 4th October, listeners joined in with Oli- ve RJs at Radisson Blue Ho- tel, Doha to dance the night away. The event was made enthralling by the performan- ce of Special Guest for the evening ‘Social Media Su- perstar Shashikant Pedwal,’ - a class performer who per- sonifies Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on stage and in Bollywood movies as the latter’s body double. The night progressed into Dan- diya Group performances, dancing, prize distribution, culminating into an event which shall be cherished for times to come. Guests and sponsors appreciated the event alike with many smiles and high energy. PAGEPAGE 21 21 HIGHLIGHTS MY HAPPY HOME CAMPAIGN Radio Olive 106.3 FM cele- brated Diwali in the most fan- tastic way possible for all its listeners. Qatar’s No 1 Hindi Radio station brought forth ‘Jotun Paints presents MY HAPPY HOME’, a free home makeover for the listeners and lots of gratification and prizes throughout. During this Diwali, listeners were asked to register by clicking a fa- mily picture in the house and send it to Radio Olive What’s app number 33111063. 4 Se- le- cted winners were driven in a brand-new Renault Captur to the Jotun Paints Showroom where they got to choose the colors for their favorite home corner. The home corner was also decorated with la- vish furniture by Pan Emirates chosen by the listeners them- selves. The whole activity was met with much enthusiasm by all the audience. PAGE 22 HIGHLIGHTS BIGGEST RANGOLI IN QATAR Radio Olive 106.3 FM and Mirqab Mall came together to host Radio Olive Festival celebrations for all. The festival will be held at Mirqab Mall, a great shopping mall situated in the Heart Of Doha between 25th-27th October. On the first day of the festival, Qatar witnessed the Biggest Rangoli in Qatar. Made with hours of hard work the colorful display had the a very festive feel. Radio Olive RJs Kabir and Naina were there at the unveiling and interacted with the listeners present at the venue who shared their excitement. PAGEPAGE 23 23 HIGHLIGHTS SUMMER IN QATAR AT HAMAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Hamad International Air- port gave a grand conclu- sion to QNTC’s Summer In Qatar 2019. RJs of Radio Oli- ve 106.3 FM and Radio Suno 91.7 FM covered the conc- lusion with the team of HIA. They showed the viewers what all fun, entertainment activities do Hamad Interna- tional Airport have in bag for the visitors and passengers. They also took testimonials from passengers. PAGE 24 HIGHLIGHTS THE OFFICIAL LOGO LAUNCH OF FIFA WORLD CUP 2022 The Official Logo of FIFA World Cup 2022 was unveiled globally on 3rd September 2019 using various digital screens placed in landmarks of Qatar and various places across the globe inc- luding Kuwait, Oman etc. It was a prestigious moment for Qatar. Radio Olive and Radio Suno marked their presence in all the areas with extensive coverage on-air, online and n ground creating a widespread awareness for the proud moment. The explanatory videos and pictures of the New logo was also published on all the social media platforms of Radio Olive and Radio Suno soon after the event. Those whose are ready to provide this service always would have greater job opportunities. We identified the opportunity in this and launched the Harsham Project for geriatric care. Harsham programme aims at providing intensive training of 15 days to women and equip them to provide service in geriatric care sector. The training for the caregivers was provided with the assistance of doctors, nurses and hospital management in selected hospitals in the state.
