Government of and DIRECTORATE OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY KASHMIR

Press Release ************ As a part of its strategy to ensure uninterrupted public services even in the times of COVID-19 lockdowns and continuing social distancing measures, the Directorate of Animal Husbandry Kashmir has extended the following services for the benefit of livestock farmers, animal owners and the public in general:

A. Provision of Telemedicine facilities – livestock farmers and animal owners can obtain veterinary-medical advice by calling designated providers on their mobile numbers (district/block-wise list enclosed). These designated doctors shall guide the callers in providing remedies either using home-care measures OR have medicines delivered at their doorsteps OR in case of emergencies, ambulatory visits shall be made and animals treated in-situ. B. Provision of facilities to solicit assistance (non-clinical) and submit complaints etc – on a specially launched web portal http://care.jkahd.net. The operationalization of this system would not only decrease the need for public interactions/visits at departmental offices but also make the dealings efficient, timebound and transparent.

The public is advised to fully utilize these services for handling issues related to their livestock, pets as well as to seek support for any other issues pertaining to other departmental services. The department urges all people to adhere to the guidelines/directives issued from time to time by the government in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. Stay Home – Stay Safe!
