The 21st Annual Day Celebrations The college entered into yet another year of glorious existence, as students and staff celebrated the 21st Annual Day in a grand spectacle on 23rd Feb‟ 19. Sri.Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Hon‟ ble Minister of Irrigation, Govt. of AP attended the programe as the chief Guest. Our Co-chairman, Sri. Lakireddy Jaya Prakash Reddy presided over the function, flanked by Honor of the Guest Dr.P.Uday Bhaskar, Chairman , APPSC,Lakireddy Prasad Reddy, Vice Chairman, Sr.G.Srinivasa Reddy, President among others. Dr.K.Appa Rao, Principal presented the Annual report, while Dr.K.Sreenivasa Reddy, Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks. The day ended with a colorful cultural extravaganza presented by students. APPSC chairman addressing the audience @ 21st College Day. A nostalgia & fellowship @Annual Alumni Meet-2019 The Annual Alumni meet was organized on 23rd Feb.’19 in the august presence of our Co- chairman, Sri. Lakireddy Jaya Prakash Reddy and Lakireddy Prasad Reddy among others. The meet was attended by around 200 old students who came from various parts of the country. While inaugurating the meet, the founders appealed to the Alumni to don the role of goodwill ambassadors of the institute. The alumni had a great time reminiscing their good old days with friends and faculty. Dr.K.Appa Rao, Principal welcomed the alumni, while Sr. A grand reunion worth cherishing! All for a stronger R&D ecosystem… Workshop on “Research in Universities & Industries” LBRCE R&D Cell organized a workshop on “Research in Universities & Industries” which was attended by faculty on 31st Jan’19. Making sense of Instrumentation @ workshop The Dept of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering organized a workshop on “Instrumentation in Oil & Gas Industries" on 4th Feb’19 for its students. Sri. R.V.Saradhi , Ex- Engineer , Export Operations, Kuwait Oil Company acted as the resource person for the program. The resource person sharing valuable insights @ workshop in EIE LAKIREDDY BALI REDDY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (Autonomous) Exploring real time learning @ NDT workshop The Dept of Mechanical Engineering conducted a workshop on "Non Destructive Testing Applications and Practical View during the period i.e. 6th - 8th Feb’19. Si.G.Vijaya kumar, Managing Director, Future NDT Groups delivered hands-on training to the participating students. Mr.B.Sudheer Kumar S.Srinivasa Reddy and V.Venkatesu, coordinated the event. The Guest Lecture is in progress… Shared learning at its best @ FDP in ECE The Dept of Electronics & Communication Engineering organized a FDP on “Digital Signal Processors , Embedded System Design and Internet of Things”, which was attended by faculty from various engineering colleges in AP & Telengana during the period i.e. 11th-15th Feb’19. Entrepreneurship Awareness Program The Department of MBA & the Center for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship organized an Entrepreneurial awareness programme for all B.Tech, MBA &MCA students during the period i.e.14th-16th Feb’19. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, inaugurated Organic Food Processing Unit in Uttar Pradesh. With the inauguration of this food processing unit, 5000 farmers will be benefitted and it is expected to leverage an investment of Rs 50.33 crores. The unit namely M/s Organic India Pvt. Ltd is likely to generate direct employment of 100 and indirect employment of 250 persons. M/s Organic India Pvt. Ltd is set up with total cost of Rs. 55.13 crores. A processing capacity of 3 MT per day has been created and the unit will process agro produce worth Rs 350 crores. Note: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Aditya Nath; Governor: Anandiben Patel. 2. Haryana CM launches “Apka Mitra” chatbot for UG courses: Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar has launched Educational WhatsApp Chatbot “Apka Mitra” & Online Admission Platform for UnderGraduate (UG) courses in government-aided and self-financed colleges for the new academic session 2020-21. About ‘Apka Mitra’: (1) ‘Apka Mitra’ is the first-of-its-kind educational WhatsApp Chatbot to resolve admission related queries of the students. (2) Students can send a message on Whatsapp chatbot number 7419444449 to get information regarding admission & scholarship. Online Admission Platform: Using the new platform, the students will be able to complete the entire admission process in the convenience of home. Chief Minister also launched online international journals, namely the Journal of Humanities and Social Science, prepared by the Higher Education Department to promote research.
