Volunteers will assist in assuring no one enters/leaves a performance while in progress, only between performances. WORKSHOPS: How to Write Poems That Can Be Performed ...... Lynette G. Esposito Workshop Location: Hunterdon Building, Room H-114 Workshop Time: 11:00 – 12:00 12:30 - 1:30 Words create images that others cannot see. When you write, there are often visuals and sounds that make the poem translatable into a performance poem. Story poems and ballads are excellent forms that can be successfully presented to a wide variety of audiences. Learn how to interject a chorus into your poems, add repeatable lines and make your poem(s) interactive with your audience.

Alternative Poems and the Art of Redaction ...... Matthew Klitsch Workshop Location: Hunterdon Building, Room H-111 Workshop Time: 10:00 – 11:00 1:00 - 2:00 Read between the (blacked out) lines to get at the meaning running just beneath the surface. Find new truths and make them your own. Students will make selections from a group of poems and perform redaction in order to obscure the poem’s original intent (or “truth”). Remnants of those poems will then be used to create new work.

Poetry & Illustration Wall Workshop Location: Outside Courtyard IN CASE of RAIN /Front of College, Across From Library (near Registration tables) Workshop Time: ArtStop – On-Going The Poetry & Illustration Wall will be an exciting place to practice the freedom of expression through poetry and visual art. An entire wall invites you to create your own poem, add a line to an ongoing collective poem, illustrate a poem that has been written or draw what inspires you at that moment. Be sure to sign your work with your name and the school you attend. Visit early in the day and return later to see what has been added to the wall. The possibilities are endless! CREATIVE WRITING

LYNETTE G. ESPOSITO has been an Adjunct Professor at Rowan University, Burlington County and Camden County Colleges. She has taught creative writing and conducted workshops in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is currently the Coordinator for the Poetry Open Mic and Featured Reader series at the Medford Arts Center in Medford, NJ. She has won regional and national poetry contests and had her work published in both commercial and literary publications. She will be a featured reader at the Fox Chase Review held at Ryerss Museum in Philadelphia in 2015. Mrs. Esposito holds a BA in English from the University of Illinois and an MA in Creative Writing and English Literature from Rutgers University. She is publisher of the online Poetry Magazine Elsewhere. Her articles have appeared in the national publication, Teaching for Success; regionally in South Jersey Magazine, SJ Magazine. Delaware Valley Magazine, and her essays have appeared in Reader's Digest and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Her poetry has appeared in US1, SRN Review, The Foxchase Review and other literary magazines. She has critiqued poetry for local and regional writers’ conferences and served as a panelist and speaker at local and national writer's conferences. She lives with her husband, Attilio, in Mount Laurel, NJ.

MATTHEW KLITSCH received his M.F.A. in Poetry from Drew University where he was the recipient of the Dean’s Prize for his creative and critical work. He also holds a B.A. in English (Creative Writing) from Montclair State University where he received the Elizabeth Dean Eler Memorial Award for his critical work. In 2011, he attended an artist residency at the Vermont Studio Center. He has been published or has work forthcoming in Colorado Review, The Pinch, Poecology, The Florida Review, and The Massachusetts Review, among other literary journals. He is excited to be in his second year as a panel judge in a novel writing contest.

MELANIE AGUIRRE is a New York City Native and Founder of Rep Your Style dance competition & dance lifestyle co. She has worked with such artist like Usher, Pitbull, Marc Anthony, Shaggy, Neo and more. International teacher and competitor, Melanie's passion is to give her student tools for them to grow.

LORETTA DI BIANCA FOIS received her M.F.A. in Dance from Ohio State University, and her B.A. in Theatre/Chemistry from Holy Cross. She is Director of the Dance program at Raritan Valley Community College, was a teaching artist for NJ Department of Education and has served as an Artist in Residence for Paper Mill Playhouse. Loretta has worked professionally with Claire Porter, Sabatino Verlezza, and Andrew Jannetti, and has performed in works by various artists including Ellen Cornfield, Pat Graney, Creach/Koester, and Stephen Koplowitz. Ms. Fois served on faculty at Mason Gross School 29 of the Arts, CUNY, Ohio State, Union County College, and NJ School of Ballet. In 2017 and 2011 she received a Choreography Fellowship from the NJ State Council on the Arts. She served on the Writing Team for the revision of the NJ Core Curriculum Content Dance Standards, on the Advisory Board of Freespace Dance, and is currently Vice President of Education for Dance NJ.

LEES HUMMEL began her performing arts training in Reading, Pennsylvania with the Berks Ballet Theater of Regional Dance America. She earned her B.F.A. in Dance, and ten years later, an M.F.A. in Pedagogy & Choreography from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Upon completion of her B.F.A., she became a principal dancer with the Clive Thompson Dance Company and the New York City Jazz Company enabling her to perform works created by noted choreographers Danny Buraczeski of JazzDance Company, Bill T. Jones of Bill. T. Jones and Arnie Zane, Rosalind Newman, Billy Siegenfeld, Maria Chang, Milton Myers, Rudy Perez, and Cliff Keuter. Lees has choreographed for American Ballet Theatre (summer program), Fort Wayne Ballet, Virginia School of the Arts, Florida Dance Festival, Dance NJ Show Up and Dance, Berks Ballet Theater, Lustig Dance Theatre, and Roxey Ballet. Her work has also been seen at the University of Miami, Raritan Valley Community College, Middlesex County College, Rider University, Miami Dade Community College, Mercersburg Academy, New World School of the Arts, University of North Carolina Charlotte, Winthrop University, Central Piedmont Community College, Western Kentucky University and Southeast Missouri State University. She currently assists Roxey Ballet as the Education Coordinator and Dance NJ as the Dance to Learn Coordinator. Lees is certified in fitness and currently teaches private Mat and Reformer Pilates, Balletone, and Les Mills Body Pump at Rutgers University Recreation and The Club at Ricochet.

CHRISTINE SAMPSON was born and raised in Swedesboro, NJ, where she began dancing at the age of 3. She began at a local studio, where she learned all dance styles. In 1997, she was accepted at the Southern New Jersey Academy of Performing Arts. In 2005, she graduated from Rutgers University with a BFA in Dance from the Mason Gross School of the Arts. She performed in MGSA's dance company, DanceWorks, and had the privilege to dance as a guest artist in Doug Varone's work Bench Quartet. She performed for various faculty and students' shows in her college career. After college, she danced for the NJ Nets Dance team in 2006-07. She has been featured in Ugly Betty, "The Other Woman," Spike TV, Extra with Mario Lopez, Epix TV, Comcast on Demand, the Today Show, and BET. She has also done various national and international tours; The Gap, Inc. Holiday Cross Country Tour, NBA All-Star Games, NBA Europe Live, NBA China Games, WNBA London Live, NBA London Live and other live performances. In addition, Christine has performed with artists, Flo-rida, Pitbull, Kevin Rudolph, Shakira, Rhianna, Ryan Leslie, Tiffany Evans, Ludacris, B.O.B, Juicy J, and Bruno Mars. Recently, she has started her own company, Rock Roulette Productions and continues to grow as an artist.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

JEFFREY KUNKEL (D.Ed., Penn State University; M.M., New England Conservatory; B.S., Penn State University) is Coordinator of Jazz Studies and Director of the MSU Jazz Ensemble. Jeff previously served as the Associate Director for Faculty of the Cali School, and as Coordinator of Undergraduate Music Education. Jeff won the prestigious New Jersey Jazz Education Achievement Award in 2008. His personal musical endeavors focus on the unique music styles of Brazil. He has presented workshops and classes at the Federal University of Parana (Curitiba), UNIRIO (Rio de Janeiro), and has performed for several years at TribOz, a jazz club in the Lapa entertainment district. He released his first solo recording, Meu Coração Brasileiro (Delira Música) in 2013. The CD was recorded in Rio with Mauro

Senise (flute/sax), Vika Barcellos (vocals), Alex Rocha (bass), Haroldo Mauro (drums and co-producer), José Arimatea (trumpet), and Mariana Bernardes (vocals), with lyrics being contributed by Ms. Barcellos, Fernando Corona, and MSU colleague Holli Ross. A long time board member and four term president of the New Jersey Association for Jazz Education, Jeff frequently appears as a clinician and adjudicator, and directed the 2010 New Jersey All State Jazz Ensemble, along with numerous region jazz ensembles.

VINCENT PAGANO A former Marine who began his teaching career as a Marine Corps Water Instructor, Vincent is an experienced NJ based DJ and Music Production professional. Vincent is currently completing his education with the acclaimed SAE in Manhattan. He has performed as a DJ and producer in both New York and New Jersey.

DORIAN PARREOTT is a retired adjunct professor of music at Kean University, with 32 years of teaching experience in public school, 22 of which were spent as a Supervisor of Fine Arts on the high school level. He served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Music Educators Association for 25 years, and is a past-president of that organization. In 1990 he received the Governor’s Award for excellence in music education and was a member of the Governor’s Council on the Arts. He has been audition chairman for the New Jersey All-State Performing Groups, and is currently an adjudicator for NJMEA and New Jersey Teen Arts Festivals on the county and state levels, a State Grants Panelist, and does several teacher and student workshops each year. Mr. Parreott has a BA in music education from North Carolina Central University, a MA from The College of New Jersey, holds a doctoral equivalency with certification in administration, supervision, and service occupations (musical instrument repair), has a diploma from the Dom & Kirschner School of Instrument Repair, and has been a musical instrument repairman for over 40 years. Mr. Parreott is an active musician, and currently President of New Jersey Local 399 of the American Federation of Musicians.

J. ANTHONY STRONG, pianist, is an Associate Professor of Music at Raritan Valley Community College, and is currently the Music Coordinator in the college’s Visual and Performing Arts Department. He has performed as piano soloist, accompanist, chamber musician and musical director throughout New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area. He has appeared with the Central Jersey Symphony Orchestra as featured soloist in the Rachmaninoff Second and Grieg Piano Concertos and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Mr. Strong has been featured at the International Banff Festival, toured nationally as vocal accompanist for the Bolla Wines Young Artist Series, and recorded chamber music for violin and piano with Cenek Vrba (concertmaster- Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra). Mr. Strong earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Calgary and a Masters of Music with High Distinction in Performance from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. A New Jersey resident since 1976, he offers private instruction in piano and vocal coaching from his home studio in Long Valley and enjoys a stimulating hobby as a photographer.

ViRAGO is Amy Schindler on guitar and vocals with Maire Tashjian on percussion and vocals, creating a unique and interesting mix of songs. Their base is central New Jersey with performances happening locally and internationally, including Salvador Bahia, Brazil. JAYE BARRE is happy to be back judging for Teen Arts. She has directed productions for Trilogy Repertory, The New Theater, Triad and Plays in the Park. She was drama director for 25 years at and the Somerset Hills Drama Workshop. She directed over 50 productions at Ridge and has worked at many other local schools, as well. Favorite directing projects include Into the Woods, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Titanic, Oklahoma, Music Man, Godspell, Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Jaye has worn every hat possible for Trilogy Repertory and currently manages the Trilogy Costume Collection. She is the artistic director for Heritage Trail and serves as Entertainment Chairman on the Bernards Township Charter Day Committee. Jaye also served on the Bernards Township 250th Anniversary Task Force, the 100th Anniversary Task Force for the Somerset County Courthouse and is the Bernards Township Representative to the Somerset County Cultural and Heritage Commission. Currently, she is directing Mary Poppins for Plays in the Park, Bernards Township which goes up this July.

JANET CANTORE WATSON has been an active theater arts advocate for over three decades. Throughout the years she has reached audiences of all ages performing on and back stage, including her decade “run” on Broadway as Clown Crew Chief for the Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Ms. Watson has tackled roles from the absent-minded singing nun, SISTER AMNESIA in NUNSENSE, to JOSEPHINE VITALE (mother of the bride) at NJ PAC’s production of TONY & TINA’S WEDDING. Her favorite theater experience was soaring in her “lighter days” in the role of PETER PAN! Janet has not only performed for, but created programs for recreation, education, theaters and arts organizations throughout New Jersey. As the Creative Arts Program Coordinator at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, Ms. Cantore-Watson implemented programs for all ages. Always considerate of the constituents’ first, Janet has redefined many theater arts activities and events to be more inclusive for all ages and populations including the elderly and those with specific needs. As the director of annual productions developed to be performed by persons with mental and physical disabilities, with Midland Adult Services (MAS Productions), Janet has demonstrated that theater is and should be experiential option for all. She has been commended by the New Jersey State Department of Education & New Jersey Superintendents for her advocacy efforts engaging teenagers to participate in joint productions with special populations in theater arts programming.

ERIC DIAMOND is a Professor of Theatre and Deputy Chairman of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Montclair State University. Eric has composed music and musically directed in New York City for Playwright's Horizons, The American Globe Theatre, The Acting Company, and on Broadway for George Abbott's musical play Broadway at the Royale Theatre. He has spent two seasons at both the Williamstown Theatre Festival and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. He has musically directed MSU productions such as Pippin, Gypsy, Grease, Godspell, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, A Chorus Line and Fiddler on The Roof and has composed and arranged incidental and vocal music for productions such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Inherit The Wind, The Grapes of Wrath, and Nicholas Nickleby. Last summer Eric taught for Montclair State’s Gifted and Talented program for students in grades K-12.

HARRISON H. HANEY is a professional puppeteer who just recently returned to his roots to accept the position of New Jersey State Teen Arts Coordinator. Harrison is a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from the internationally recognized Puppet Arts program at the University of Connecticut where he also earned his second BFA in Acting. Harrison has designed and crafted puppets that have made appearances in numerous stage productions such as The Puppetmaster of Łódź, Disney’s Lion King Jr., and Edgar (I Am Nothing). He has traveled across the United States touring with the Granpa Cratchet Puppet Company performing over 25 puppet characters in over 4,500 performances. Harrison has committed to his promise to pay forward the gifts his mentors gave him by sharing the art of puppetry with young artists and performers in hopes to inspire their lives as puppetry greatly did his. JEAN PRALL-ROSOLINO is the founder of, and an actor-educator with Youth Stages, LLC which celebrates 20 years in 2016! Jean was the Education Director of Creative Theatre in Princeton, NJ for nine years. In the mid-80's Jean lived in Minneapolis and worked for the Children's Theatre Company and received extensive creative drama training with CLIMB, Inc. She received her BA in Theatre Arts from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts and her MA in Educational Theatre from NYU. Over the last 30 years, Jean has taught numerous classes and residencies with children ranging in age from babies to high school students. Her most recent roles include performing in the Ensemble in The Marriage of Figaro at McCarter Theatre (directed by Stephen Wadsworth) and at the Kelsey Theatre: Death of a Salesman (The Woman), Equus (Dora Strang), Winnie the Pooh (Rabbit), Charlotte's Web (Charlotte), Lost in Yonkers (Bella). She tours in the Youth Stages shows The Elves and the Shoemaker, Little Red Riding Hood, Stubby the Elephant, and The Three Bears, which she also wrote. She is occasionally in Theatre To Go's Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre productions. She has directed Our Town; Alice in Wonderland; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; A Christmas Carol; The Wizard of Oz; Peter Pan; and The Secret Garden for VSA New Jersey. BILLIE MARIE ABER earned her BS in Art Education / Fine Art at Moore College of Art, and her MFA at the University of Georgia. She is a member of the Society of Decorative Painters, and has taught at various art centers including The Center for Contemporary Art, Hunterdon Museum of Art, Essex County College, and Arts Unbound. Throughout her work she has painted murals, china, and decorative furniture for homes, decorators and restaurants.

GRETA ANDERSON has been an instructor for the Printmaking Center of New Jersey's Roving Press outreach program for over fifteen years. She has taught printmaking, papermaking and book arts in many public and private schools all over the state. She has been involved with professional development for teachers, as well as workshops for business groups and not-for-profit boards. At PCNJ she has held workshops for artists in screenprinting and lithography on several levels. She has also taught at the Newark Museum, Morris Museum and The Center for Contemporary Art. She received an AA degree from RVCC, her BFA from Mason Gross of the Arts, and a MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. Her work is included in collections of the Johnson & Johnson Corporation, Pfizer Corporation, Newark Public Library and Montclair Museum and has been seen in solo and group shows in this country and abroad.

JOY ANN CABANOS is an artist & arts educator who has been painting for 30 years, and teaching workshops in NJ since 2010. She works in watercolors, acrylics, pastel (chalk & oil), oils, mixed media, and is now deeply involved in exploring the ancient art of Origami. She teaches watercolor & origami workshops at the Clark Public Library, as well as at Westfield Memorial Library. She is also an instructor with the MORE After School Program, leading various creative classes such as “Art Around The World”, Watercolor Basics, & Origami. She regularly instructs at the annual Union County & Somerset County Teen Arts Festivals. She exhibits with various group shows locally, and has held solo exhibits in Manila, Pittsburgh & the UK. Her art (an Origami Wreath & a Philippine Parol) was recently featured in the touring exhibit “Welcome Neighbor: Sharing Cultural Art Traditions” of the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission.

ANGELES COSSIO* is an artist, educator and curator based in the New York metropolitan area. Drawing on her experiences in this densely populated corridor, her work examines the intersection of the natural world with everyday experience. Cossio’s work has been exhibited and screened at the Sheldon Museum of Art, Bemis Center of Contemporary Art, Site Santa Fe, Manifold Gallery in Chicago, the Bronx Art Space, and ArtHelix in Brooklyn. She is a recent recipient of a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant and has been awarded residencies at ACRE, the Hambidge Center and the Wassaic Project. This past summer she participated in Heliotropes, a group exhibition at Geary Contemporary in NYC and was awarded a Gateway to the Arts Grant, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. She teaches at St. John’s University and the College of Mount Saint Vincent.

STEPHEN D’AMATO has taught art classes throughout New Jersey. He has studied artistic anatomy and has a strong traditional foundation in drawing and painting. He has studied at Syracuse University, graduated from Rutgers University, and also continued his studies at the Art Students League of New York. His instructors at the Art Students League include: Harvey Dinnerstein, Sharon Sprung, and

Michael Burban. For two years, he assisted Michael Burban in his daily drawing and anatomy classes at the Art Students League. In the past he has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. In 2013, his series Paintings of the Jersey Shore displayed in libraries in Millburn, Berkeley Heights, Ramsey and Cranford.

GAIL FISHBERG is a textile artist. Having ventured into all aspects of fine arts throughout her life, she has focused her energy over the last 25 years to hand papermaking and felting. Teaching students of all ages, she shares her joy and fascination with the transformation of materials into beautiful pieces of art. Gail has studied felt making with renown artists all over the world and has developed a vast knowledge that she enthusiastically shares with her students. Her classes encourage freedom of expression to explore the possibilities of this ancient craft.

SHANTI JAIN is a folk artist in New Jersey who specializes in traditional Indian arts & crafts, Indian cooking, and teaching Indian languages. She has led many workshops about Indian crafts through the Middlesex County Cultural & Heritage Commission, USDA, and other organizations. She is an accomplished artist in Sanganeri Hand Block Printing and Bandhini (Tie & Dye). Born in Jaipur, India she grew up in a family which had these businesses for generations. She was surrounded by the skilled artisans who made intricate designs. She was inspired by, and learned the craft through, the association with these artisans. She continues to carry on these folk traditions, and passes them on to Asian Indian and other communities. She is also a gourmet cook having represented the North East Region in the Master Chef cooking competition on PBS in the year 2000. She has been teaching Hindi language for the last few years in the STARTALK summer program sponsored by the defense department.

DOREEN LORENZETTI blends two careers that complement each other, working as an Expressive Arts Counselor at Carrier Clinics East Mountain Youth lodge and uses art as a means of communication and coping skill with the residential teenage population. She also creates art through her freelance business, Lorenzetti Studios LLC. Her art is a tapestry of mediums and styles. As an illustrator, her work can be found in newspapers, magazines, as well as two children’s books. “Cathy Williams, Buffalo Soldier” published by Pelican Publishing and “Bridgetender’s Boy” published by Canal Press. As a muralist she has transformed hospital areas, embellished homes and businesses throughout the tri-state area and has been aired on the TV show Extreme Home Makeovers. She has created set designs for schools, NJ Youth Ballet and “The Whisper” shown on PBS. Her artistic focus is oil painting, pen and ink, and pencil. She specializes in portraits. She has a background in textile and jewelry design, sculpture, and ceramics, andhas presented assemblies of her art and publications in schools and educational events. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators as well as a former member of the Hillsborough Cultural Arts Commission.

JOANNE M. MAZZEO* as proprietor of JMMDesign, LLC, offers services as a design consultant, certified antiques appraiser, decorative artist and master gardener. Her work has been commissioned for many private residences throughout the country, ranging from Manhattan townhouses to country farmhouses. Joanne earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, NY in 1977, and pursued post-graduate studies in photography at Pratt Institute. Since 2000, she has studied Decorative Arts at New York University. She is also a Certified Master Gardener, Rutgers Extension Service, NJ. Her studies in fine art and decorative art have included extensive travel and participation in painting workshops in Italy, Spain, and France. Her photographs have been exhibited in New York, Tokyo, Buenos Aires and throughout New Jersey. She has worked as a jewelry designer, and as an art exhibit curator in NY Blood Services, at donor sites in New Brunswick and Scotch Plains, NJ. She has served on the advisory board of Friends of Teen Arts, New Jersey and continues to serve the program as an adjudicator of visual art and a Chinese brush stroke painting instructor. She has taught visual arts to students of all ages. 35

DAVE MCCOY fell in love with art as a child, inspired by the works of Dr. Seuss. He considers himself to be mostly self-taught; he was an avid reader of comic books, and used to trace the characters and copy the styles himself. He went on to study at Kean College which had a strong art program. As he matured, he found that there was little money and a lot of competition in the comic book field, and turned his eye to more commercial endeavors. He has made his living for the past 40 years in commercial illustration - such as magazine illustration, children's books and caricatures - and of course, teaching other aspiring cartoonists!

DARREN MCMANUS* is a painter and professor living in Lambertville, New Jersey. He received his B. F. A from the University of Hartford / Hartford Art School completing a double major in graphic design and experimental studio, spending his junior year studying at the Glasgow School of Art in Glasgow, Scotland. In 2004, McManus received his M.F.A. in painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art. For his visionary, often unconventionally shaped acrylic paintings, McManus has been awarded numerous grants and awards including: an Individual Artist Fellowship Grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts; an Individual Artist Grant from the Puffin Foundation; a Fellowship from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; and a Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellowship in conjunction with The Millay Colony for the Arts. Additionally, McManus has been selected for numerous residency fellowships including: Salzburg Kunstlerhaus in Salzburg, Austria; Chashama North in Pine Plains, NY; The Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT; The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in Amherst, VA; The Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, NY; The Artists’ Enclave at I-Park in East Haddam, CT; and The Cooper Union School of Art - Drawing & Painting Residency Program in New York, NY. His paintings have been widely exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States and have twice been selected by the Boston-based Open Studios Press for inclusion in their prestigious, juried publication New American Paintings.

WILLIAM METZ* painted his first oil at age 5 under the watchful eye of his father, a commercial artist. At 9 years old he won a regional scholarship to study with Joseph C. Fitzpatrick at Carnegie Institute. Some of Fitzpatrick’s more notable students were Andy Warhol, Philip Pearlstein, Mel Bochner and Raymond Saunders. He entered his first juried exhibit when he was an adolescent as a member of the Art League of Ligonier Valley in Rector, Pa. Andrew Wyeth was a fellow member and frequent exhibitor. William pursued a career in science with multiple degrees in mathematics and chemistry. After retiring from the pharmaceutical industry in 2012, he returned to his childhood passion of painting. He has attended multiple workshops and classes with local artists Elaine Kurie, John C. Traynor, Oscar Peterson and Gary Godbee. As a member of the Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, NJ and the Raritan Valley Art Association, he has been a regular exhibitor at juried exhibits at the Marie L Matthews Gallery in Princeton, local group exhibits and recently a solo exhibit at Arbor Glenn.

MARGARET MURPHY* is an award winning artist, curator, and educator who received her BS degree from Towson University in Maryland and her MFA in Painting from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University in New Jersey. Murphy is the recipient of a Pollock Krasner Individual Artist Fellowship, a New Jersey State Council in the Arts Residency, PS 122 studio residency, and many others. She was inaugurated into the Brooklyn Museum’s Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art: Feminist Art Base in 2011. She has exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at the Visual Art Center of New Jersey, Gallery Aferro, HPGRP Gallery in NY, Real Art Ways in CT., and Pentimenti Gallery in Philadelphia, as well as a traveling Ten-Year Survey Exhibition.

Publications and literature include five reviews in The New York Times, New American Painting #63, The Star Ledger, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Jersey Journal, and State of the Art – a half hour PBS 36 program featuring prominent New Jersey Artists. Her work is included in the catalogue 100 Mid-Atlantic Artists published by Schiffer Publishing. On line reviews include ArtInfo.com, Two Coats of Paint and the CAA Committee on Women in the Arts “picks” of feminist art.

Murphy is an accomplished curator mounting over a dozen contemporary art exhibitions in NY and NJ. She has taught at the Maryland Institute College of Art and Marymount Manhattan College, and is currently the Barstow Artist in Residence at Central Michigan University.

MANSU MUSSA is a visual artist, arts educator, and arts consultant. A native of Paterson, New Jersey, he has used the camera to document the unfolding of human events in the United States, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe for the past forty years. He earned a BA in Media Arts/Television Production from New Jersey City University, studying visual art there with Professor Emeritus Ben Jones. He is best known as a documentary photographer and collagist, and his body of work includes: The Art of Dance; Cuba Diary: A Glimpse Inside the Hidden Republic 1987-2014; Ghana: An African Portrait; Eyewitness: The New South Africa; Postcards from Paris and Italy; and the historic Newark: A Day in the City Photo Documentary. His photographs and collages have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibits as well as published in several books, including the landmark Reflections in Black: A History of Black Photographers, 1840 to the Present. Mussa has been an instructor of photography and visual arts for thirty-six years. During that time, he has developed a system for teaching art to children, teens, adults, sensational seniors and special needs population. He currently teaches photography, collage, wearable art, book arts, mask making, and iPadology for Arts Horizons, the Newark Museum, the Visual Art Center of New Jersey, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Global Arts To Go, Arts for Kids, the Wellness, Arts, & Enrichment Center, and Arts Unbound.

DIANA WILKOC PATTON* specializes in watercolor (and acrylic) garden and landscapes, florals, house, and pet portraits. Her work is in private and public collections in the USA and several foreign countries. A graduate of Brown University, cum laude, Diana has won over 135 awards, including four Grumbacher Medallions, in both judged and juried shows. She is included in WHO'S WHO IN AMERICA and WHO'S WHO IN THE EAST. She is a Full Member of the American Artists Professional League, the Garden State Watercolor Society, the New Jersey Water Color Society, and the Essex Watercolor Club, among other arts associations. Diana is a member of the SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She also teaches beginning and intermediate/advanced watercolor for the adult school (J.A.C.E.) and other places.

JOHN REINKING* is an Adjunct Professor at Raritan Valley Community College and the County College of Morris, as well as the head of ceramics at the Center of Contemporary Art in Bedminster. His work can be found in many private national and international collections. He is currently represented by Peters Valley Craft Center in Layton, New Jersey as well as Connexions Gallery in Easton, Pennsylvania, regularly exhibiting in several national group shows per year. His work was recently published in the international woodfire publication, “The Log Book” and the Lark Books publication, “500 Raku.” As a guest speaker at the 2011 NCECA in Tampa, FL, his lecture presentation focused on “Suburban Wood & Soda Firing.”

E.S. SHARP*, a Delaware River Region Artist, has exhibited regionally and nationally. Sharp has taught Print workshops for Somerset County, Hunterdon County and the State Teen Arts programs. Sharp has conducted Gallery Talks for Teen Arts county programs and served with artist Mel Leipzig at the State Teen Art Festival as Gallery critics at the College of New Jersey. Sharp has served on Somerset County’s

37 and Hunterdon County’s Cultural and Heritage Commission’s grant panels for the New Jersey State Council of the Arts grant programs. The James Michener Museum Doylestown, PA database includes Sharp in the Bucks County, PA contemporary artists. Sharp, a former president of Artsbridge, the Philadelphia Sketch club and a self- employed graphic artist for ten years, works regularly in her studio in Buckingham, Bucks County, PA. Sharp attended the College of New Jersey and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

VOCAL MUSIC

KELLY BENNETT has been teaching private vocal instruction for over 7 years, with vocal experience in musical theater, classical music and opera, jazz, blues and contemporary rock and pop vocal music. She holds a BA in Music from Kean University where she studied under Kathy Harris. She then continued her vocal work under renowned vocal teacher Steven Schnurman. Kelly currently teaches privately in downtown Westfield, and works with students ranging from classical to current pop/rock and more. She works with students to develop solid, healthy vocal techniques starting from any level. She also works with a number of students to prepare for professional and Broadway level productions and auditions. Kelly sits as a judge annually for the MAMTG competition, as well as presenting vocal technique workshops and offering critiques annually at both Union County and Somerset County Teen Arts Festivals. Kelly co-owns and teaches with Valencia School of Music in Westfield, where she also leads performance workshops, coordinates student recitals and oversees all vocal programs. Kelly has a long history of professional performance in musical theater, classical music and contemporary pop and rock vocals as both a band front woman and a soloist.

EILEEN COOPER’s musical and dramatic performances have earned her rave reviews for her stage presence and lush vocal color. Stage roles include Sharon Graham (Master Class - 2014 Kelsey Award for Best Supporting Actress), Noémie (Cendrillon), Lucy (The Beggar's Opera), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Flora (Flora), La Prima Sorella/La Sorella Cercatrice (Suor Angelica), Cinderella (Cinderella), Rosemary (How to Succeed...), and Laurey (Oklahoma!). Solo concert appearances include Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzer, Ein deutsches Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah. International performances include the televised prime time program Wait for Me in Beijing and a concert series in Tuscany as an artist with the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program. Miss Cooper earned her Master of Music degree at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, where she was the recipient of the Olga Marsano Burian Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music. DENISE MIHALIK is a certified YogaVoice® Practitioner, Sound Healing Practitioner, and Yoga Instructor. She is also a professional classical singer, certified energy worker and kirtaniya (yogic chant). She holds music degrees from Westminster Choir College and UNC-Greensboro and has sung with many different orchestras and opera companies throughout the US, including four national tours. Her studies of sound healing, meditation, chanting, and other healing arts have taken her to India, Guatemala, Nova Scotia, and Nepal, in addition to many special experiences in the states. She presently teaches voice at her home studio in Piscataway and at Westminster Conservatory in Princeton, NJ and offers sound healing meditations and trainings throughout the states and Canada.

MICHAEL STUEMPFLE is an established voice teacher and coach in Somerville, N.J. and resident for 25 years. (www.michaelsteumpfle.com) He holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree and Master of Music Degree from Indiana University School of Music, Bloomington, Indiana. He has served as a High School Choral Director, as well as private vocal instructor for the Montserrat School of Music, the , and Raritan Valley Community College. For over a decade, Mr.Stuempfle was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Chorus in N.Y.C. and performed in number productions working with some of the world’s greatest singers, conductors, and directors.
