Intro & Table of Contents KNOW THYSELF Observe, Meditate, Contemplate, Synthesize, Repeat There is nothing more true or real than your own experience Strive For Gnosis, Live With Love, Expand Your Perception, Strengthen Your Will Are you the thought or the thinker, the dream or the dreamer, the creation or the creator, the music or the musician, the art or the artist; maybe a bit of each? “Write your own Gospel, live your own myth” Miguel Conner “There is only one way and that is your way. There is only one salvation and that is your salvation. Why are you looking for help? Do you believe it will come from outside? What is to come will be created in you and from you. Hence look into yourself. Do not compare, do not measure. No other way is like yours. All other ways deceive and tempt you. You must fulfill the way that is in you.” –The Red Book Table of Contents Chapter 1 - Why? Chapter 2 - What is True? Chapter 3- Consciousness Chapter 4- What is Reality? Chapter 5- Reality Theories Chapter 6- My Truth, Tenets and Gospel Chapter 7-Additional Life Practices Chapter 8-The Simplicity of Magick Chapter 9- Master of Manipulation: The Cult of Inversion Chapter 10- My Three Wise-Men Chapter 11- Focus on the Good Compiled/Manifested by LoKe~KeLo Chapter 1- Why? Why are we here? What are you? What is the purpose? Is there a purpose? What’s this all about? Every religion, philosophy, and esoteric system tries to answer this, most believing they have. Do you question your reality? Is this reality just an accidental physical realm of matter? A purposeful divine creation? A Dream? Hologram? A simulation? A matrix? A game? A puzzle? A maze? A illusion? A trip? A hallucination? A book? A fractal? A reflection? A reality show? A birth? A way to evolve? A way to devolve? A prison? A farm? A experience? Whatever you make it? Some of them? All of them? None of them? You Decide. “Because what occurred to me is that when you talk about the individual, and you deal with the individual, you find that the end of the individual is neurosis. To be individual means that there is “self” and “not self”. Okay? So where I stop.. the boundaries of “me”, right, this physical body; the boundaries of me that stretch out.. things I believe in.. I’m sure we’d all be friends if we talked – but would we be friends with Newt Gingrich? No. But that’s the point: I stop, where Newt Gingrich starts. Why is that? Why do I stop there? Why does *he* define my self-sense? And I can’t absorb him? Why do these fuckers.. why does the Skull And Bones Society, or the CIA.. why do the 33º Masons – why are they different from us? They’re not – they want to explain things. They want an answer. They’ve found an answer that seems to suit them – which seems kind of uncool and cruel to me, because it involves exploiting other people. But they’re looking for an answer. We’re all looking for the same thing: Why. Are. We. Here? Why *are* we here? What are you doing here today? What do you expect? What do you expect to take home with you? Can anyone answer? Can one person tell me what you expect to take home from all of this?....” Grant Morrison Let’s try to figure that out. Influential Sources I am mainly writing this for myself as a reference point of information I have come across - a way to collect my thoughts and organize sources, with hope it will help others. The following is a compilation of information from sources I have read, watched, and listened to over the past years. I have written this from a personal synthesis using the teachings of multiple schools of Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Chaos Magick, and other numerous forms of philosophical and esoteric systems. Usually they list recommended books/resources at the end, but this is where I have got most of my inspiration from. I use many quotes as these sources are much better written than anything I could write. The expedition to truth, gnosis and love is ever evolving and I try to never attach to any one source or set of beliefs. The journey is long and it will take years to get through all this information some of it contradictory and paradoxical. "If you don't at least occasionally contradict yourself, your position isn't nearly complex enough." - Terence McKenna. I almost never fully agree with one source of information, I do find that they all help me expand my perception and mind. I use open minded skepticism, and as long as the information is presented logically, rationally, and with no perceived ulterior motives, then I will entertain it. At minimum it will be food for thought or possibly it will have a profound impact on the way I perceive things, think, and live. If something resonates with your truth then let it help you, if it does not resonate than let it go and move on. These are the sources of information along with my personal experience, which has shaped my perspective and philosophy of life. I hope that this information may help anyone who is striving for truth, gnosis and love. “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” Aristotle Take the time to read/watch them and if you come across any terms or ideas you don’t know much about, read about those also. Let it take you down wormholes or possibly rabbit holes of information. Somewhere in the words and more importantly between the words, may you find what you are looking for. Ch. 2 What is true? Chapter 2- What is true? “All statements are true in some sense , false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.” THE PRINCIPIA DISCORDIA “Everything is true in some sense, false in some sense and meaningless in another sense. A working knowledge of this concept is a useful tool for staying relaxed. For example, if someone says something about you that is untrue, you should not get upset regardless of whether you consider the statement positive or negative. It is true in the sense that it is what one person believes to be true about you; it is that individual’s truth. It is false in the sense that it does not represent your truth. It is meaningless in the sense that it does not change who and what you are; your identity is independent of others’ opinions.” Zen Without Zen Masters “In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.”-Buddha “All manifested things have two sides, two aspects, or two poles. Everything "is" and "isn't" at the same time, all truths are but half truths and every truth is half false, there are two sides to everything, opposites are identical in nature yet different in degree, extremes meet, and all paradoxes may be reconciled.” The Kybalion “What sayest thou? It is right to think and speak that which truly is, and yet nothing is true upon earth? This certainly is true, that we know nothing of Truth. How should it be otherwise, my son? Truth is the supreme virtue, the sovereign Good which is not obscured by matter, nor circumscribed by the body; the naked Good, evident, unalterable, august, immutable. “-The Virgin of the World of Hermes Mercurius Trismagistus “The highest truth is one and the same with the absurd.” C.G Jung “The way of paradoxes is the way of truth.”- Oscar Wilde Here is my take on truth Most people believe they have truth it in their form of religion, lifestyle, politics, science, history, medicine, social perspective, and identity of themselves producing the chaos we see today.
