The minutes of the General Assembly 2010 in Barcelona September 19th, have been distributed to our members directly after the event. 4. Board elections IEOA

Following the IEOA statutes: The term of board members has been completed - secretary general :Jan Willem Körner and - Member :Thomas Baur

The IEOA Board propose to re-elect Jan Willem Körner and Thomas Bauer for a new term of four years. 4. Board elections AJO

Following the AJO statutes: 6.7. Members of the Executive Board will be elected for a four year term (since 2009) and every year one or two members will be re-elected (for a new four year term). 6.10 New board members* will be eligible for re- election in 4 years

5. Report from Secretary General IEOA

Since September 2010 the IEOA Board met tow times.

There were good and positive contacts as usual with the FEI.

The Secretary General attended the FEI General Assembly in Tapei November 2010. The IEOA was not represented at the FEI General Assembly in Rio de Janeiro November 2011.

The IEOA, AJO and AIDEO are associate members of the FEI. 5. Report from Secretary General IEOA

AJO and AIDEO have official representatives on the FEI Technical Committees.

The IEOA SG also attended several meetings of the new European Equestrian Federation, of which the IEOA became an associate member on behalf of the organizers.

Our members AJO and AIDEO are very active.

Unfortunately it appeared to be impossible to crate formal association of the eventing and driving organizers.

6.1 New Convertion rate rules

Method used prior to 2012: Conversion rates (major currencies vs. CHF) issued by the FEI in November of prior year, Used for translating the Prize money requirement in CHF into different currencies mostly for FEI Jumping events New calculation to be used as of 1st January, 2012 : The FEI will issue prize money requirements for categorization of events & Rolex Ranking Groups expressed in various currencies based on the following calculation:  In 2012, all categories will be converted from Swiss Francs (CHF) into various currencies using the 2011 FEI conversion rate (issued in 2010).  The 2010 actual inflation rate will be then applied on the converted amounts for each currency. The applied inflation rate will be regional () or by country (all other currencies) as applicable.  Rounding will be done to the 500th.  Source used for inflation rates: IMF (International Monetary Fund), rates published in April of each year,  The prize money requirements for 2012 will be communicated in July 2011.  All following years, the FEI will issue Prize Money Categories for each year on 1st May of prior year (8 months prior to application) 6.2 Newsletter

7.1 Report President AJO by Ian Allison

 The current economic climate continues to challenge organizers throughout the sport with sponsorship, dates, venues, and entries

 Organizers must understand some of the added and increased liabilities and risks they face in today’s market, and adjust accordingly

 The FEI will continue to review standards and quality with a particular focus on CSIO and World Cup Organizers

 A new evaluation system is imminent and under development

 The Top Level Nations’ Cup is on schedule for its 2012 adjustment of teams via relegating and promotion. (sponsorship TBC.) Report Continued…

 The GCT Continues to present challenges for Top Level organizer. In 2012 it is expected there will be a number of significant date clashes

 The World Cup product is reported to be quite healthy world wide with 113 events scheduled

 FEI statistics indicate the WEL Organizers are supported by good quality in the entries from the Rolex World Rankings.

 Organizers should consider requesting a report on the foreign judge and jury just as the foreign judge files a report on the organizer and the show

 The currency exchange rate formula established in 2011 should assist all constituents

 The London Sport Forum in April 2012 will be vital in setting the stage and direction for our sport

 The IJRC is currently reviewing its own points system for Rolex World Rankings

7.2 Welfare of the Horse by Ian Allison

 Organizers must consider this in establishing their schedules. The IJRC and FEI have noted shows that they feel are too demanding

 Organizers must be knowledgeable and sensitive to the clean sport environment

 Jumping and Training facilities must consider the W of H

 Thermography, hypersensitivity, and hyperextension are all issues of public awareness, that organizers must be sensitive to

Secretary General Thomas Bauer is an active member of the FEI Dressage Committee, of which Franke Kemperman was elected Chairman in the 2010 FEI GA.

Many changes in the judging of the dressage competitions. Especially for Championships.

The AIDEO increased his members with 20% the last years to 36 members in 2011. 9. Report from Driving organizers AOCAI

The AOCAI was re-founded at CHIO Aachen 2010.

Isabelle Cazaux (Bordeaux) and Birgit Albersmeier (Aachen) act as its coordinators.

The Driving Organizers are not interested in an own association either, although the IEOA board has tried several times to get them together.

10. Report from Eventing organizers AOCCI

The AOCCI had several informal meetings with its members, mainly during CCIs.

Its aim is to become an official association, which can be recognized as such by the FEI and can a representative on the FEI Eventing Committee. The AOCCI is working close with the IEOC (Eventing Officials Club)

The Eventing organizers are not interested, IEOA is looking for another solution to make all eventing organizations automatically member of the AOCCI. 11. Report from Report EEF

The European Equestrian Federation was officially founded in Warendorf in February 2010 and had its first GA in September 2010 in Istanbul (TUR).

It has approx. 40 members and IEOA has been accepted as associate member, also on behalf of its sub- groups.

We have organizer’s representatives in various EEF Working Groups.

Thomas Bauer and Jan Willem Körner attended the EEF GA in September 2011 in London. 12. Finances IEOA
