This will be the sixth time for the FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final to be staged in Las Vegas, and the 10th time the Final has been held in the USA. Austria’s Hugo Simon, winner at the inaugural Final in Gothenburg, Sweden with Gladstone, went on to record a back-to-back double of victories with ET FRH in 1996 and 1997. Germany’s Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum was also a three-time winner with Shutterfly – at Las Vegas in 2005, Gothenburg in 2008 and again at Las Vegas in 2009. Brazil’s Rodrigo Pessoa and the stallion Baloubet du Rouet hold the record as the only horse-and-rider partnership to post three back-to-back wins. They came out on top in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Germany’s Marcus Ehning, winner in Las Vegas in 2003, in Kuala Lumpur (MAS), in 2006 and in Geneva (SUI) in 2010 will be attempting to become the first four-time FEI World Cup™ Jumping champion.

Horses were driven long before they were ridden and, as such, Driving is the oldest competitive equestrian sport yet it continues to thrive in the 21st century. In 1970, Driving came under the FEI umbrella thanks to the efforts of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, then the FEI President, who organised the meeting in 1969 which produced the first rule book. With many enthusiasts worldwide and new continental championships for young drivers, juniors and children since 2012 alongside the already existing senior competitions, new talent is appearing on all four corners of the globe. International Driving competitions, described as CAI 1*, 2*, 3* and 4* using one, a pair or four horses, represent the ultimate challenge for world class drivers and their experienced teams. The ones everyone wants to win are the FEI World Equestrian Games™ which are held every four years in the middle of the Olympic cycle, the biannual Continental Championships, and, of course, the annual FEI World Cup™ Driving. Australia’s Boyd Exell (AUS) is one of the forces to be reckoned with in this very demanding sport, as current four-in-hand World Champion and six-time winner of the FEI World Cup™ Driving

Vaulting also featured as a demonstration sport at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. With many enthusiasts worldwide, there are now thousands of national, regional and local Vaulting events every year drawing avid fans. International Vaulting competitions, described as CVI 1*, 2* and 3*, represent the ultimate challenge for world class vaulters.
