The face of Motorsport is changing with our debut into the world 3 of all-electric motor racing – . Not only this but we have recently announced a brand new Porsche Motorsport Great Britain championship for 2020: Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain.

We are delighted that the introduction of a second one-make championship to our Porsche Motorsport Pyramid generated such a high level of interest from both professional and amateur drivers, as well as new teams, and we look forward to welcoming our first drivers to the inaugural Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain championship in 2020.

However, it is Great Britain that remains as the premier one-make championship for Porsche in Great Britain. We have worked hard to evolve this exhilarating championship to its current successful format but, for 2020, we have refined it yet again as we launch the Porsche Young Driver Development Programme to enhance the current Rookie Championship. This innovative new programme will ensure eligible drivers will benefit from much more than just financial rewards.

As ever, Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain offers unrivalled prize money, plenty of support and ever-increasing media exposure.

We hope you will join us for an adrenaline-fuelled season of racing.

Fastest one-make car in Great Britain

14 Our vision is to create the perfect race car and the 911 GT3 15 Cup brings us closer to achieving this. The car continues to prove itself faster, more durable, more efficient and safer than its predecessors. It is quite simply a pure-bred race car and a precision instrument for the race track.

Developed from scratch, the engine offers even greater power output than the previous models, achieving peak speeds of approximately 170 mph. The four- litre six-cylinder boxer engine delivers up to 485 hp at 7,500 rpm and 480 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Drive force is transmitted to the rear axle by a racing clutch and a Porsche six-speed sequential dog-type transmission.

In addition, a key benefit of this new drive system is that the engine and gearbox run times have been doubled before they require their first rebuild (engine from 50 to 100 hours and gearbox from 30 to 60 hours) thereby significantly reducing operating costs.

With over 4,000 sold, the 911 GT3 Cup is still the number one sports racing car among motorsports teams and drivers. It competes in prestigious racing events around the world including GT racing series and endurance races. Delivering “Whatever you’ve raced before, the Porsche 911 GT3 incredible performance, it is also the most equal car in motorsport, clearly Cup gives you a unique feeling and challenge.
