Governance in the health sector refers to a wide array of steering and rule-making related functions carried out by decisions makers to achieve health policies and objectives that are conducive in attaining better health outcomes. As a testimony of good governance, the Provincial Health Office once again spearheaded a meeting with its members and development partners to discuss relevant issues in preparation for the “OPLAN BALIK ESKWELA 2017” come June 5, 2017. Salient issues were tackled such as the Dengue Fever Situation in the province which is one of the health threats that may pose danger among our young Isabelenos due to the possible upsurge of Dengue Fever cases as the rainy season is approaching. To complement the nation-wide “Brigada Eskwela” initiative of DEPEd, the Provincial Government deemed it highly necessary to re- launch the “Todas Dengue, Todo Na ‘To! Ika-Apat na Kagat” mainly to promote collaborative effort among all agencies for a simultaneous clean up drive for the protection among schoolchildren. Along with this, reproduction of IEC advocacy materials and preparation of logistics for the control and prevention of cases in all municipalities.
