Jerry D. Sanders, Esq. Jerry D. Sanders was born in Pensacola, Florida, however he attended most of his grammar school in Key West, Florida. After Vernis & Bowling of attending junior high school at various other naval bases, he Northwest Florida, P.A. graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola in 1961, from 315 South Palafox Street Emory University in 1965, (B.A. in Political Science), and Mercer Pensacola, Florida 32502 University School of Law in 1968 (Cum Laude). After four years of active duty with the United States Army from 1969 through 1973, including one year in combat assignments in the Republic of Vietnam, Jerry practiced law in general trial and AREAS OF PRACTICE civil practice in Georgia and Florida for 32 years. He also Appellate Practice remained in the Georgia National Guard both as a Judge Advocate Automobile Liability (PD/BI/UM) and in the Adjutant General’s Corps. He retired in 1994 in the Government Law permanent grade of Colonel (0-6). He has acted as sole or lead counsel in over 50 trials to a verdict. He is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and National Eagle Scout Associations. He also was a National Officer of Sertoma International and is presently a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Key West, Florida. He was elected to the Board of Directors of 1800 Atlantic Condominium Association in December 2006 and serves as Vice President. Jerry’s outside interests include flying, boating and scuba diving. Mr. Sanders is a Certified Flight Instructor for single engine and multi-engine land aircraft and instrument ratings, holding a Commercial Pilot’s Certificate with over 6,900 logged flight hours..
