Restrictions at Iranian Borders (as of 01 December, 13:00 PM) The Latest Situation of Cargo and Passenger Traffic in the Common Borders of Iran and Neighboring Countries Passenger Country Border/Crossing Cargo Status Remarks Traffic Status Iran-Iraq: Iranian passengers with residence, work, trade, education, and medical permits can enter Allowed Not Allowed Iraq. Tourists and pilgrims are not allowed to enter. Passengers traveling to Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, in addition to visa must have valid residence permit of Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. Merchants and skilled workers must obtain required business Shalamcheh Allowed Not Allowed and work permits from Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq Representation in Tehran. Passengers must have medical certificate with negative COVID-19 test result issued at most 48 hours before arrival.
