A record number of student-athletes, 125 (8.91%), recorded a 4.0 GPA. “The classroom has always been a focus for women’s Gymnastics student-athletes, and these numbers indicate they are as talented academically as they are athletically,” Kerrie Turner, WCGA president and head coach at BowlinG Green, said. “This kind of systemic success is the result of a lot of hard work by everyone involved in our programs.” Boise State, led by co-head coaches Tina Bird and Neil Resnick, posted the top team GPA with a 3.7700 and had 13 student-athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or more. The Broncos were No. 1 on the list last year and in 2015-16 season and finished second in 2016-17. Individually, five Boise State student-athletes had a 4.0, and 81.25% team had a 3.79 or hiGher GPA.
