Reflections from Sami Ghandour – Facebook post on March 3, 2019 Three years ago I walked into a random high school gym to try out for the Concordia Basketball Team. Coach saw something in me and gave me the honor to be a pa of the team. I took my first year to adapt and learn as much as I could. Spent time away from my family and worked in the offseason and eventually got my chance. I took advantage of the situation and earned my minutes. Was rewarded for my hard work with the Most Improved Player but I never stopped working. Unfo unately, I had a major setback and had surgery aer tearing my labrum in my shoulder and had to sit out for 6 months. This was one of the hardest times I went through both physically and especially mentally. I tried my best to come back and help the team as much as I could. This was the last year I was going to be able to play with one of my closest friends @rico.suave11 (Ricardo Monge) and I told him I was going to do everything I could to extend his time as a Stinger. And guess STINGERS.CA what we did it!!!!!! Never felt so good!! Thanks for believing in me Coach!! 2019 U SPORTS MEN’S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP Concordia Stingers Men’s Basketball Featured Players
