7-12 standing. TEAM AWARDS • MVP: Jaz Bains/Tanner Graham The Gaels closed out 2017 with an 88-86 fourth-quarter • Marco Alessio Award: Mike Shoveller comeback victory over Guelph on the road thanks to a clutch buzzer-beating jumper off the hot hands of Jaz SPECIAL HONOURS Bains. • Mike Shoveller: Queen’s Athlete of the Week (Jan 15), Named to Canadian Commonwealth Games To begin the New Year, Queen’s took two wins during team their first four games, including an 18-point victory over • Tanner Graham: Queen’s Athlete of the Week then-ranked No. 7 Ottawa. (Dec 4) • Jaz Bains: Queen’s Athlete of the Week (Nov 27) In the OUA playoffs, Queen’s visited Ryerson and pushed the Rams through three-quarters.
