2007 Annual Report “Be The Best You Can Be” U13 Tulis Boys Light Up Scandinavian Fields The Tulis U-13 boys’ hard work and team effort paid off this past summer as they brought home both the Gold and Bronze awards from the Dana Cup “A” tournament in Frederikshavn, Denmark and the Gothia Cup in Goth- enburg, Sweden. The win at the Dana Cup event marked the first time ever that a Tulis boys team and, in fact, any Canadian team, had won gold at this prestigious youth tournament. During the first week at the Dana Cup in Denmark, the boys dominated play with intelligent and creative football, often maintaining possession for long periods of time. When the ball was lost, the team defended with ferocious tenacity and permitted very few goal scoring opportunities despite the physical aggressiveness of their oppo- nents. They completed the round robin play with a 3-0 record and 8 goals for and none against. • Scandinavian Cup Rules 2020-2021
Rules for FIS Scandinavian Cup 2020/2021 Rules updated: October 6th, 2020 1. General rules The Scandinavian Cup consists of a series of FIS competitions in Scandinavia (Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Norway). The Scandinavian cup season 2020/2021 contains of nine (9) races and one (1) mini tour, race schedule can be found in the FIS calendar. The goal with the cup is to stimulate senior women and men near World Cup level to race against each other and to give the best women and men the chance to race in the World Cup via the free quota system FIS provides for Continental Cups. Each of the national Ski Associations selected to host a cup event will appoint a technical organizer. Each organizer needs a substitute place where it is possible to organize the assigned event on the same date. If jury decides to cancel competitions, an expert commission will decide about new date. The expert commission consists of one member of each country mentioned above. During a Scandinavian Cup event only senior categories will be organized. NOTE! Extra rules for the Scandinavian cup 20/21 regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. These extra rules are decided by the Scandiavian conferens 06.10.2020: • 30 days before an event the OC must give a “green” or “red” light for the event, this means: 11 November for Piteå 8 December for Lygna 5 February for Madona • At the dates mentioned above 2 of 3 of the “big nations” (NOR, SWE, FIN) has to announce if they can participate in the upcoming event, if less than 2 countries can attend the event can be organized as a FIS race but will not be valid as a stage in the Scandinavian Cup.

II, nr 1, s. 47–63 http://dx.doi.org/10.16926/sit.2019.02.03 Miroslav BOBRÍK * Physical Education and Sport in Slovakia after the Establishment of Czechoslovakia (1918–1924) Abstract Creation of the Czecho-Slovak Republic after the WWI, in 1918, was a milestone also in the development of physical education and sport in Slovakia. New Czecho-Slovak government tried, within the new constitutional conditions, to enforce the Czechoslovak character of the state and to withhold the Hungarian influence in individual towns. Following its multi-national, multi-cultural and multi-confessional history, Slovakia had to get over long-time Hungarian wrongdoing and Hungarization also in the area of sport. Before 1918, the Hungarian and partially also German sport clubs prevailed and any efforts to establish Slovak sport clubs were more platonic than realistic. However, the conditions and circumstances changed and were adapted to the new state layout after 1918. Because of the tense military-political situation at the Czech borders and in Slovakia during 1918–1920, arrival of the Czech and also German sport organizations was postponed until 1921. The Sokol (Falcon) organization started to organize its advertising tours in Slovakia in 1921. Sim- ilarly, the German organizations DTV came to Bratislava in 1921 and to Spiš in 1922. In 1920, the Sokol organization had 93 units with 18 494 members, the RTJ organization had 31 units with 4139 members and the Orol (Eagle) organization had 149 units with 15 772 members.

The Czechoslovak SPECIALIST COMPLETE TWENTIETH CENTURY SUBJECT INDEX: 1939 - 1999 Compiled by Anne G. Vondra Edited by Ludvik Z. Svoboda Published by The Society for Czechoslovak Philately, Inc. 4766 S. Helena Way Aurora, Colorado 80015 USA First Published 2003 COMPLETE TWENTIETH CENTURY SUBJECT INDEX INTRODUCTION The Society for Czechoslovak Philately was founded in March 1939 and the first issue of THE CZECHOSLOVAK SPECIALIST was published in May 1939. From that first issue until January 1990, it was printed as a monthly periodical. From January 1991 on, it became a bi-monthly publication with more than double the number of pages per issue. Wolfgang Fritzsche first compiled a SPECIALIST Index in 1964. In 1974, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stollnitz put together the first Subject Index and combined it with a Priced Catalog of Postal Stationery. Anne Vondra thereafter indexed the period from 1974 to 1980. The two Indexes were combined into a Subject Index published in June 1980 as vol. 44, whole number 419 of THE CZECHOSLOVAK SPECIALIST. This Index was further expanded to a Cumulative Index encompassing the period from 1939 to 1992. But in the year 2000, Anne Vondra compiled a complete 60-year Subject Index embodying every issue of THE SPECIALIST published during its uninterrupted period of existence up to the end of the 20th century. The new Subject Index contains numerous abbreviations. Listed in alphabetical order is a glossary of these abbreviations: Ann. — anniversary Assn. — Association h. — halér (heller) Illus. — illustrated Int. — international k. — koruna (crown) k…. — Czech koruna (crown) k…s. — Czechoslovak koruna (crown) m/s.
