Authentic because while industrial guitar manufacturers spend most of their time on marketing and paying musicians to play their guitars, we have devoted 20 years to sound research, technological developments, and manufacturing improvements that respect tradition. Its main differences are the pickups that are set close together and the Nick Douglas / Doro electronic composed of a balance and a parametric equalizer. The sound of the Passion is unique and can be percussive with a lot of room. Available in 4, 5, or 6 string, the Arpege is the state of Vigier art. Its 10/90 neck-through construction, combined with a laminated body, give this bass incredible response and makes it lightweight. Like on all Vigier basses, its pickups are ultra dynamic with a wide frequency response range. Its active electronic is Arpege natural maple essentially composed of a balance and 12 preset Passion natural alder sounds made by two parametric equalizers. Passion antique violin BODY • Comfort When we design the shape we keep in mind the harmony between the player and the guitar. The perfect balance of the instrument is achieved by aligning the neck with the axis of the human body. Our guitars weigh approximately 3Kg and are undoubtedly one of the lightest in their category. So, for those who play spectacular, action filled concerts, or just endlessly somewhere, we are positive that you'll appreciate the manageability and lightweight. • Wood Depending on the models, we can use alder, maple, or ash. Selected in Europe's forests, these woods are real and solid. They are dried naturally for years in our factory before we cut them. The body is made up of only 2 center-joined pieces not 4, or sometimes even 7 pieces like industrial makers. • Finish The summit of quality is denoted in our finishes. Our master finisher sprays over 10 thin coats of varnish between numerous sanding procedures. In order to not overseal the wood, we spray a minimum amount of varnish so it vibrates, yet enough to protect it for a long time just like on an acoustic instrument,. We wait at least one month before final sanding and polishing is proceeded. That is state of the art. Please refer to the end of the catalog for each models standard color. TREMOLOS Long before others, we built our own locking tremolo so we know what guitar virtuosos and heavy tremolo users need to stay in tune. Usually, the bridge's pivot system is fitted with knives but we decided to replace them with ball bearings and this is exclusively used on Vigier. Once the knives are worn, there is no way the tremolo can come back to its original position because there is friction. When this happens you will have detuning problems. Our ball bearings can turn 10,000 times per minute and so are impossible to wear. • VIGIER® 2010 and 2017 tremolos This non-locking tremolo is set on the Excalibur Supra, Special, Indus, Ultra and the Expert for guitarists that are looking for a rich and crunchy sound. The perfect tuning stability is also ensured through the locking machine heads that are 2010 non-locking tremolo precisely aligned with the strings by our traditional zero fret and graphite string retainer. Another important detail, is the short distance between the bridge saddle and the place where the string is anchored. Also, each saddle can be locked into position once intonation is set and a small roller is located at the string break point to minimize friction. The 2010 tremolo has as much tuning stability as most guitars equipped with a regular Floyd Rose. • VIGIER® Floyd Rose® licensed tremolo This tremolo is available on the Excalibur Original and Custom models. It makes the guitar virtually undetunable. The only slight detuning problem may occur from the string’s metal stretching! Also the tuning stability comes from the indispensable one piece locking nut and our zero fret that guarantees exact first fret action height and accurate tuning. For your playing comfort, the saddles are hand adjusted to precisely match the radius of the fingerboard. For your convenience, the angle of the tremolo arm can be set while you're playing and removed easily when you are not. Finally, the Vigier Floyd Rose™ tremolo Allen keys have been neatly fitted at the rear of the headstock. BRIDGES • Basses This solid, quick-release bridge was specially designed to fit the Vigier bass series. To change strings, you simply lift them away. The saddles are set in individual tracks and have independent height and intonation adjustment. To help remove extraneous noise or unsetting problems, the saddles are locked into position once adjustments are complete. • Guitars Similar to the Excalibur Surfreter, a flat mount fixed bridge is available on the Excalibur Supra & Special and the Expert guitars. It is fully adjustable and features through-body stringing. On the Marilyn model a solid bridge with a tailpiece combination has been fitted. Passion bass bridge MACHINE HEADS We use locking machine heads in combination with our 2010 & 2017 non-locking tremolos. ELECTRONICS Depending on the model, we can fit passive or active electronics. Our commitment to offer the most up to date electronics dates back to 1983 when we earned our credibility by being the first manufacturer to incorporate a microcomputer in our memory guitar. • Pickups Before any pickup is mounted on a Vigier it's entirely controlled. Each pole is adjusted so that the strings have a balanced output level. Another small, but important detail is that most standard humbuckers have two adjustment screws however, we took the time to add a third screw so that height or tilt adjustments can be made easily and an equal distance between the strings and the coils can be achieved. Gimenes, we met Simon Lustigman in January 2008. A professional musician in Paris and Radio-Luxemburg in the 50s and 60s, he was befriended with all the fellow musicians of the time and was also a sale person at the Major Conn shop, rue Dupperé in Pigalle. As we showed him the picture of the guitar player with the fringed jacket he unfortunately didn’t recognize him but confirmed that the guitar was indeed a Rio, made in Switzerland.

Voices of the Electric Guitar Don Curnow MPA 475 12-12-12 Intro The solid body electric guitar is the result of many guitars and innovations that came before it, followed by the guitar's need for volume to compete with louder instruments, particularly when soloing. In the 1930s, jazz and its various forms incorporated the guitar, but at the time there was no way for an acoustic guitar to compete with the volume of a trumpet or saxophone, let alone with an orchestra of trumpets and saxophones, such as in big band jazz. As a result, amplification of the guitar was born and the electric guitar has been evolving since, from a hollow bodied ES-150 arch-top with a pick-up used by Charlie Christian to the Les Paul played by Slash today.

    A Fine, All Original Mid-Sixties Two Pick-Up Epiphone Olympic 1965 Epiphone Olympic SB 722D. Sunburst (9.00). #01437 $1,750 This fine and very light guitar weighs just 5.60 lbs. One-piece mahogany neck with a fast thin-to-medium profile. Black faced 'Batwing' headstock with "Epiphone" silk-screened in gold. Rosewood fretboard with 22 original jumbo frets and pearl dot markers. Serial number "323241" stamped in blind on back of headstock. Six-in-a-row 'double-line' Kluson Deluxe tuners with white plastic oval buttons. The scale length is a standard Gibson 24 3/4 inches and the nut width is just over 1 9/16 inches. Two Melody Maker single-coil pickups with nice, balanced outputs of 6.97k and 7.09k. Single-layer white plastic pickguard with inlaid silver Epiphone 'Epsilon' and eight screws. Four controls (two volume, two tone) plus three-way selector switch and jack socket, all on pickguard. Black plastic ribbed-sided knobs with metal tops with red markings. The potentiometers are stamped "134 6508" & "134 6523" (Centralab February & June 1965). Combination ridged "wrap-over" bridge, factory Epiphone Vibrola tailpiece with tubular tremolo arm with walrus-tooth tip. There is a minimal amount of belt-buckle scarring on the back and a few very small surface marks, mainly on the edges. This fine little, all original mid- sixties guitar is in exceptionally fine (9.00) condition. Housed in a later 3-latch black softshell case with blue felt lining (8.50). "The solidbody line got a complete overhaul that gave the models as much first- impression power as the new sharp-pointed, double-cutaway Gibson SG models.

BACKGROUND On August 7. 2019, the City Council conducted a public hearing regarding the proposed formation of the DTOPBID. authorized the City Clerk to count ballots received from affected property owners, and unanimously adopted Resolution 19-R0487—1 forming the DTOPBID, approving the Management District Plan, approving the assessment formula and levying the assessments. On December 19, 2019, the City Council approved an agreement with MainStreet Oceanside for implementation of the DTOPBID Management District Plan (MDP) and approved the draft by-Iaws proposed for the DTOPID Governing Committee. ANALYSIS The DTOPBID is a benefit assessment district with the primary purpose of providing improvements, maintenance and activities which constitute and convey a special benefit to assessed parcels. The DTOPBID began operation in January 2020 and is approved to operate for a period of five years. In accordance with the Property and Business Improvement District Law of 1994 and the DTOPBID MDP (Attachment 1), the City has contracted with MainStreet Oceanside (MSO) to manage the DTOPBID’s day-to-day operations with oversight from the DTOPBID Governing Committee and the Oceanside City Council. The DTOPBID MDP requires that MSO present an annual report (Attachment 2) at the end of each year of operation to the City Council.

In the case of quintuple and septuple meters, this property also closely matches successions that most frequently occur in other forms of popular music as well. The movies from which the evidence for this claim comes range from The Magnificent Seven of 1960 to Kung Fu Panda 3 of 2016. Some short but close analyses of filmic scenes demonstrate this property's effectiveness as a hermeneutical tool. A related property of “near realization” recruits Christopher Hasty’s projective model to explain this stylistic bias, and connects these asymmetrical successions with another seemingly dissimilar class of syncopated rhythms favored in popular music.
