Parking: Today, the site is a parking lot for the City of Toronto employees who work at the Scarborough Civic Centre . The Preliminary Development Concept includes both vehicle and bike parking spaces.

Green spaces and public realm. The surrounding area includes a large woodlot and parkland. The City and CreateTO will strive to minimize any construction impacts on these important natural areas. The City has also identified Borough Drive as a

“green street,” meaning it will include tree planting and infrastructure that helps manage stormwater and beautify the street.

The Preliminary Concept also includes a proposed woonerf — or a curbless, shared street — on the north side and a publicly accessible court on the west side of the site that provides new safe and comfortable public spaces.

Daycare : The site is proposed to have a daycare with space for approximately 62 children . The Preliminary Development Concept includes an outdoor play space, and dedicated childcare drop -off area s. Transit and transportation . The site is near existing and planned higher order transit and will be designed to provide strong, safe connections to transit. Borough Drive is also proposed to have separated bi-directional cycling lanes to provide safe, convenient connections within and around the Scarborough Centre.
