Instructions to ■ This book is designed to provide a record of your service, training and achievements in the Air Training Corps. Keep it clean a.nd treat it with care. ■ You are responsible for the safe custody of this book and must always carry it with you when on ATC duty. You must produce it when called upon to do so by a competent authority ■ You are also responsible that the entries in it are accurate and kept up to date. You must ensure that amendments are made as necessary and are also recorded on RAF Form 3822A (Cadets Record of Service Card) held by your Squadron. ■ If you lose this book, or if any of the entries are incorrect inform your squadron CO. ■ When you leave the Corps and subject to satisfactory service, this book will become your personal property. Note ■ Full consideration will be given to your ATC service and training should you wish to join the or any other Service and this book will be of value to you when you attend for advice or interview. It may also prove useful when attending an interview for civil employment. ■ Ask your Squadron Commander, or your local RAF Careers Information Service Office, for pamphlets which outline the various ways of entering the RAF and the list of trades available. Aims of the Corps

The aims of the Air Training Corps are:

■ to promote and encourage among young men and women a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force

■ to provide training which will be useful both in the Services and in civil life.

■ to foster the spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

Air Training Corps - Home Agreement

The Cadet will try to: ■ Attend the Squadron regularly and on time. ■ Be polite and helpful and observe all rules and regulations pertaining to a uniformed youth organisation. ■ Bring the correct equipment to the Squadron as and when required and to return all loaned items of equipment and articles of uniform when I leave the ACO. ■ Do all class work and home studies as well as possible. ■ Take good care of all equipment and the building. ■ Observe all the “Laws of the Land” as articulated in ACO regulations concerning drugs and other banned or illegal substances and to remember that dismissal from the Corps is invariable if drugs are misused or found on the person. ■ Pay my cadet subscriptions on time.
