RESULT OF ELECTIONS TO THE GOVERNMENT BODIES

In connection with the election of two members each to the two Government Bodies for which the motions were adopted by the House on 05th March, 2020, election programme was notified. Accordingly, nominations of two candidates each were received for the Coir Board and the Advisory Council of the Development Authority (DDA). No candidate withdrew his candidature from the election to these government bodies upto the last date and time fixed for the purpose. The number of remaining candidates in fray now being equal to the number of candidates to be elected to each Government Body, the following members have been declared as duly elected to serve as members of the respective Government Body as per details given below:-

Result of Election of Lok Sabha members to the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)

In connection with the election of two members of Lok Sabha to each of the eight AIIMS (motion in respect of which was adopted by the House on 6 March, 2020), two nominations each were received to the 07 AIIMS (Bibinagar, Bilaspur, Deoghar, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Rajkot and Vijaypur) for the required numbers of members to be elected. No candidate has withdrawn her/his candidature upto the last date and time fixed for withdrawal for these bodies. However, three nominations were received for AIIMS, Bathinda. Subsequently one candidate withdrew his candidature upto the last date and time fixed for withdrawal. The number of candidates being thus equal to the number of members to be elected to each of 08 AIIMS, the following members have been declared as duly elected to serve as members of the AIIMS as shown against their respective names, subject to the provisions of the AIIMS Act, 1956:-

DISTRIBUTION OF FASTags

Members are informed that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is providing two FASTags (one each for and constituency) to the Members of

Parliament to facilitate their seamless travel on the National Highways. Nodal Officers from NHAI/IHMCL will be available at Transport Desk, Parliament House from 16th March

to 03rd April, 2020 from 1100 hours to 1700 hours for the purpose of distribution of

FASTags to the Members.

2. Members who have not applied for issuance of FASTag so far, are requested to submit duly filled in requisite proforma, alongwith self attested copy of Registration

Certificates for each vehicle to the Nodal Officer at Transport Desk, Lok Sabha Secretariat

(behind Gandhiji statue), Parliament House so as to facilitate them to issue FASTags.

3. Requisite Proforma may be collected from Transport Desk or MS Branch Lok Sabha

Secretariat (Room No.422) Parliament House Annexe or may be downloaded from Lok

Sabha website (www.loksabha.nic.in) under the heading downloads >Forms Related to

RESULTS OF BALLOTS OF NOTICES OF STARRED AND UNSTARRED QUESTIONS

Members are informed that ballots in respect of notices of Starred and Unstarred Questions received upto 1000 hrs. on 13th March, 2020 for the sitting of Lok Sabha to be held on 30th March, 2020 was held in the presence of SHRI PAWAN KUMAR, JOINT SECRETARY in Question Branch, Room No. 324, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi. A total of 1123 notices were received and 277 Members participated in the ballots for the day.

2. The results of the ballots have been uploaded on the Homepage viz. loksabha.nic.in.

3. The Hard Copies of the ballots are also placed in Parliamentary Notice Office for the information of Members.

Deposit of archival/historical material in Parliamentary Museum & Archives. Books and Photographs are available in Parliamentary Museum & Archives for reference

The Parliamentary Museum & Archives undertakes acquisition, storage and preservation of precious records, historical documents and articles connected with the origin, growth and functioning of parliamentary institutions and the Constitution in India. It is felt that these objects, which are part of our national heritage are collected, scientifically treated and preserved for the benefit of posterity. Members are requested to consider depositing material which they have in their possession like Private correspondence, Notes, Articles, records, Manuscripts, Speeches, Memoirs, Diaries, Relics, Art pieces, Mementos, Personal belongings and collections, Paintings, Photographs or any other material of archival/historical value connected with their career and activities as Parliamentarians and freedom fighters, in the Parliamentary Museum & Archives, FB-094, Parliament Library Building (Tel.No.23034131, 23034226, Fax No.23035326) for permanent preservation and display. The material will enrich the Parliamentary Museum & Archives and be useful for research work. If desired, the material received would be returned after making necessary copies. Any secretarial assistance in sorting out and listing the material will be made available to them. The Parliamentary Museum and Archives have 724 books on/by Members of Parliament. Members who are desirous of consulting these books may contact the PMA. The Photo Archives too has a collection of 19,790 photographs relating to Parliamentary events and passport size photographs of Members of Parliament from 1st to including two hundred photographs of Freedom Fighters lodged in Cellular Jail during freedom struggle received from the Government of Andaman and Nicobar Island. All these Photographs have been digitized and can be retrieved with a click of mouse with help of keywords through software available in the branch. Kind cooperation of Members is solicited. ______
