Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Bannu BOARD OF INTERMEDIATE & SECONDARY EDUCATION, BANNU. NOTIFICATION FOR HSSC SPECIAL EXAMINATION, 2020 It is notified for the general information of all concerned that in pursuance of the decision of the Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vide Notification No.SO(B/T) E&SE 10-1/All BISEs dated 17-07-2020, that Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Bannu is going to conduct HSSC Special Examination, with effect from September 22, 2020. The last dates for receipts of admission forms and fee are as under: WITH NORMAL ADM: FEE UPTO WITH DOUBLE ADM: FEE UPTO WITH TRIPLE ADM: FEE UPTO 25-08-2020 04-09-2020 09-09-2020 Admission fee may be deposited in the nearest branch of NBP, UBL & HBL situated in the jurisdiction of BISE Bannu or remitted through money order in the name of the Secretary BISE Bannu and original fee receipt be submitted by hand within prescribed dates or sent through registered post at least three days before last date fixed for. Details of fee are as under. Thomas Institute of Archaeology, UCL Introduction The Bannu Archaeological Project (BAP) has been reconstructing past settlement and subsistence patterns in Bannu Division, North-West Frontier Province, Pakistan, since 1985. The Bannu area (Fig. 1) covers approximately 5000 km² and is primar- ily defined by its geomorphology, in that it represents a distinct unit that is almost completely surrounded by folded and faulted Plio-Pleistocene geology of the Siwalik Series (Rendell 1981: 219). The area is dissected by both local hill torrents and the up- per catchments of the Kurram, Tochi, Barran, Khaisor, Shaktu, and Kashu Algad Rivers. All of these torrents are ephemeral except for the Kurram and Tochi Rivers. A series of low angle boulder and gravel fans delineate the mouths of the tor- rents (Rendell 1981: 221). The Bannu basin today has an arid to semi-arid climate with a mean annual rainfall of around 320 mm and maximum summer temperatures of up to 40°C. Thomas (1986: 21-24, 1999: 310) has discussed various aspects of Figure 1. Accepted 1 June, 2012 Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a major health problem in the developing countries including Pakistan. This study aimed to investigate various risk factors and prevalence of HBV in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. A total of 1439 individuals (1021 males and 418 females) suspected for hepatitis B infection were screened for HBsAg. All the samples were blindly analyzed for HBV DNA by nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Of the total, 49.5% were found positive for HBsAg. Of these HBsAg positive patients, 83.03% were confirmed for HBV DNA. Of the 726 HBsAg negative individuals, 37 (24 males and 13 females) were found positive for HBV DNA. 629 HBV DNA positive individuals include 70.43% male and 29.57% female. Higher prevalence rate (16.53%) was observed in Malakand and lowest (13.35%) in Mardan. Mostly young people with age 16 to 30 years were infected as compared to other age group. Risk factors observed in HBV positive individuals were unhygienic barber practice, blood transfusion, general and dental surgery, unsafe injection and sharing personal items.
