Colitis associated cancer (CAC) is the colorectal cancer (CRC) subtype that is associated with bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis (UC).ThedataonroleofNF-B signaling in development and progression of CAC were derived from preclinical studies, whereas data from human are rare. The aim of this work was to study the contribution of NF-BpathwayduringUCandCAC,aswellas the immunomodulatory effect of all-trans retinoic acid (AtRA). We analyzed the expression of NOS2,TNF- ,TLR4,andNF-B, in colonic mucosa. We also studied NO/TNF- modulation by LPS in colonic mucosa pretreated with AtRA. A marked increase in TLR4, NF-B, TNF-, and NOS2 expression was reported in colonic mucosa. The relationship between LPS/TLR4 and TNF-/NO production, as well as the role of NF-B signaling, was confirmed by ex vivo experiments and the role of LPS/TLR4 in NOS2/TNF- induction through NF-B pathway was suggested. AtRA downregulates NOS2 and TNF- expression. Collectively, our study indicates that AtRA modulates in situ LPS/TLR4/NF-B signaling pathway targeting NOS2 and TNF- expression. Therefore, we suggest that AtRA has a potential value in new strategies to improve the current therapy, as well as in the clinical prevention of CAC development and progression. 1. Principal results indicate that referent power, expert power, information power and reward power are average positive correlated with productivity behavior and productivity ability. Results corresponding to ANOVA and multiple correspondence analysis show that variables from personal information having an impact on productivity are gender and academic qualification. In particular, gender has an impact on both productivity ability and productivity behavior, where academic qualification has only an impact on productivity ability. Objective : The aim of our study was to evaluate the clinical and biological characteristics, the etiological profile and the prognosis of post-partum acute kidney injury (AKI) and to identify risk factors associated with fetal death and poor renal prognosis. Materials and methods:This was a 15 years retrospective study conducted in the Nephrology-Dialysis department of the university hospital Ibn Sina, Rabat. We reviewed medical records of patients with a diagnosis of post-partum AKI to identify the causes therapeutic methods used. We defined a favorable outcome complete renal recovery with a live babyand adverse outcome as dthe absence of renal recovery and/or maternal death and /or fetal loss. Results:We collected 37 cases of postpartum AKF. The average age was 30.2 +/- 7.4 years. The average length of gestation was 38.8 +/- 1.3 weeks of amenorrhea. Pre- natal care was effective in 75% of cases. Childbirth was medicalized in 92 % of cases and 75% were vaginal deliveries High blood pressure, oedema and oligoanuria were the main clinical features.The mean serum creatinine at 54 +/- 30 mg/l.
