LEARN TO PLAY THROUGH JUNIOR HOCKEY ATLANTA MADHATTERS INTRODUCTION The Atlanta Madhatters (AMH), playing out of the Atlanta Ice house, is the fastest growing hockey organization in Georgia. The Atlanta Madhatters program is dedicated to the overall development of its players and coaches. Our experienced coaching staff provides youth hockey players with the opportunity to further develop their hockey and life skills to be a complete player on and off the ice. The Madhatters are the only organization in the state to offer Learn to Play all the way through junior hockey.

Our program offers athletes full time professional hockey coaching structured under the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM) - driven to continuous progress and development of the student-athlete for opportunities in hockey, education and life. Some of our features include:

FACILITY The Atlanta Madhatters play out of The Atlanta Ice House, a brand new 80,000 square foot state of the art facility conveniently located in Cobb County, Marietta, just 20 minutes north in the suburbs of Atlanta, near the heart of Kennesaw State University. Marietta is a safe, centrally located town, and has been ranked amongst the best places to live in Georgia.

The facility is a focal point of the community and home to some of the best training resources in the Southeast region, providing the opportunity for athletes to compete, train, improve and recover. A few of the features this brand new multi sports facility includes:

The Atlanta Madhatters Travel Hockey Program will provide youth hockey players with the opportunity to further develop their hockey and life skills to teach them how to be a complete player on and off the ice. High level skill development is predicated on quality coaching, and ample training time. The Atlanta Madhatters Travel programs will have multiple practice touches every week, with a different emphasis each night. Our practice formats include:

Stationed skills Maximizing puck touches and repetitions through passing, skating, stickhandling and puck protection

Full Ice Flow skills Emphasis on positional skill and game-like instruction

Full Ice Team Practice Situational play and focus on game systems and special teams

Under this practice format, our coaching staff has created the best quality hockey experience and value to prepare our players for the next level of hockey. The success of teams on the National stage, as well as, the success of NAPHL players at the next levels of hockey, is further proof that the NAPHL is redefining exposure and has elevated itself to one of the premier training grounds for developing and opportunity. Each year NAPHL teams compete in high profile showcase events strategically located and timed to maximize scouting exposure. The showcase Division is for teams wishing to compete in a series of events culminating with a championship in January. The league features real-time stats through its website, and live video broadcasting of every NAPHL game.

EJEPL is a USAH sanctioned league that acts as a supplement to to an organization's local league. With over 350 teams in 16 different states, the EJEPL provides 16 game youth and 20 game midget, or 10 game split schedule The team will be playing a combined season of NAPHL as well the EJEPL. With calendar age groups of 9-18, each group has three levels so that teams can be properly placed for their competitive level. The league begins with a showcase in late August and ends in early February so as not to interfere with local league end of year events. Statistics are kept for ages 14 and older and exposure is maximised as scouts attend our Midget showcases and playoffs.

The Southern Youth Hockey League includes a territory of - Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee and Mississippi with a majority of program members within 4-5 hours drive from Atlanta. The purpose of the league is to provide travel hockey competition among the southern states at AA,A and A2 divisions and to promote goodwill among players, coaches and parents. All “Travel” and “Elite” level teams will participate in SYTHL league play, in addition to an independent exhibition and tournament schedule. RAJ KALRA | MANAGING PARTNER

Coach Raj has 30 years coaching experience at all levels of youth hockey. A native of Kanata, Ontario, Canada, Raj has spent almost two decades coaching in Atlanta and has helped develop quality hockey players and individuals in the region. Coach Raj’s philosophy is one of discipline, team work, skill development and fun. As well as a vast hockey knowledge and experience, Raj also is managing partner of StreetBridge Group. A company that owns, operates and partners with a wide variety of strategic partners to build its portfolio of companies. The company has expanded to include traditional business in food, service and office supplies, e Commerce and sports management.

YAN KAMINSKY | HEAD DIRECTOR OF YOUTH HOCKEY

Coach Yan leads to the Madhatters as one of the most experienced player development coaches in the South East. WIth over 20 years of coaching and leading youth teams aged 12-18 to multiple National Championships and advancing countless players to the highest levels of hockey in the country. Coach Yans Professional playing career includes an introduction to the Russian Hockey Hall of Fame, two Gold and Silver, a World Championship with the Russian National team, and a successful NHL playing career playing with Winnipeg Jets and the New York Islanders after being drafted 99th overall in the 1991 NHL Draft ATLANTA MADHATTERS HOCKEY DEPARTMENT

LIAM TULLY | ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF YOUTH HOCKEY

Coach Liam Tully, a native of Newmarket, Ontario Canada is a Level 4 USA Hockey coach with over 10 years of coaching experience. Liam grew up playing youth hockey in Atlanta before moving to the midwest to pursue his junior and a professional hockey career, eventually transitioning into coaching. Liam joins the Madhatters by way of Indianapolis where he served as the house development program director as well as specialized skills coach for the Indianapolis Fuel, developing players of all age and skill levels on and off the ice. Liam brings great knowledge and passion for teaching, as well as helping to advance players onto the next level of hockey. Liam is extremely excited to be part of the Atlanta Madhatters.

SEAN BERNHARDT | VP OF OPERATIONS

Coach Sean is a Level 4 USA Hockey coach with over 14 years experience coaching and developing players in Atlanta Youth Hockey. A native of Rochester, NY, Sean played one season for SUNY Morrisville (NY), before moving to Atlanta and completing a 3 year playing career, and a 5 year coaching career at Kennesaw State University. Sean is passionate about growing youth hockey through skill development and is eager to see the Madhatters program to continue to grow. ATLANTA MADHATTERS HOCKEY DEPARTMENT PAUL FLACHE | USPHL PREMIER HEAD COACH Paul Flache, a Peterborough, Ontario native has coaching and player development experience gained through over a decade of operating elite training facilities and coaching at various levels of the game. Paul grew up playing junior hockey in the with the Brampton Battalion from 99-02 during which he was drafted to the NHL by the Edmonton Oilers (2002). Paul signed his first NHL contract with the Atlanta Thrashers and began his professional career in 2002. Over a 10 year span , Paul spent seasons in the AHL, ECHL and Germany. Upon retirement, Pauls coaching career began in 2012 with the TPH Thunder Program where he worked with the U16 and U18 teams developing and advancing student athletes to the next level. Paul then served as associate head coach of the of the Ontario Hockey League before returning back to Atlanta.

ZACH SABATINI | USPHL ELITE HEAD COACH

Zach Sabatini returns for his third year Elite coach and brings a unique dynamic to the program through relevant and contemporary training that translates well to the developing players in today's game and helping prepare players for the next level. Zach led the Elite team to a successful run through the playoffs in the 2019 inaugural season, resulting in a trip to the National Championship in Boston before the event was ultimately cancelled. An Atlanta native. Coach Zach parlayed a successful USPHL career with the CT Yankees and Bay State Breakers into an NCAA D1 commitment to Sacred Heart University. Zach has successfully navigated the path that many youth hockey players from the south encounter and is an individual resource in helping players understand the means to achieve their goals in hockey.
