One of the most dangerous things we have to deal with is pyrotechnic articles such as smoke bombs and flares in the and we'd ask that you assist us to look after you by not bringing such articles with you to matches. These articles can cause severe burns, damage to hearing or breathing difficulties and their use is especially distressing for groups such as small children and those who can't easily move away when pyrotechnics are activated. Experience shows that when a pyrotechnic is activated in a crowd there is often a movement away from the immediate area which can cause panic and disorientation and which creates a risk of slips and trips or crushing for those nearby. Please be in no doubt that these articles are unpleasant and potentially life- threatening to be around - they are also illegal at football matches - and being caught with them will result in exclusion from Queen’s Park FC as well as a possible criminal conviction. 6 7 RAY McKINNON

I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone at Albion Rovers ahead of our game today.

We are delighted to finally have our first home game having been onthe road for the first three games of the season and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to play at Hampden.

We know Albion Rovers will be out to make things difficult for us as they look to bounce back from what will have been a disappointing result for them last week. We are also looking to build on last week’s match at Albion where the outcome was not what we wanted.

It’s hugely important for us that our home form is good this season, we know that teams enjoy coming to play at Hampden so there is an onus on us to make that as difficult as possible for them. Home form will be very important to us over the course of the season and it’s vital that we use Hampden to our

advantage on Saturday and every other home game that follows.

We had the opportunity to train at Hampden on Thursday which went very well. It allowed the players to get an idea of what the surface is going to be like ahead of the game and it was a session that the squad really enjoyed.

Enjoy the game!

SOUVENIR SHOP

The arrival of two new kits isn’t usually the time for crazy consumerism, but the arrival of our new home and away tops has kicked this off in a way that I haven’t seen in my almost 50 years of being involved in the souvenir shop. Not only have we sold out of the first order, but the second order (arriving soon) was sold out almost before whatever the internet equivalent of the ink drying on the notification is. The second order is sold out, and we are awaiting the third order, which will be with us in mid- November. We can only apologise for your wait, but the interest is far, far beyond our expectations. Please bear with us. As soon as the orders arrive, we’ll have the kit out to you.

Could I give my sincere thanks to Lorna Shields, who volunteered to help with orders, and who has been joined by the office staff and Carol Hall. Lorna has done such a terrific job in moving the stock out the door and I am now quite happy to accept all the abuse she gives me on the away buses without complaining. As an aside, I’d like to thank Eric Schofield and Patricia McCrossan who kindly offered their services too. The Club is entering a time where we will be looking to people to step forward.

As I say, we’ll do our very best to satisfy orders as soon as the new stock arrivals come in. This has taken us completely by surprise. And in a nice way.

We’ll look to build up our stock in other areas and, of course, the online shop is available to you.
