    REMARKABLE ALLIANCES CHANGING THE ENERGY CONVERSATION WITHIN CANADA’S OFFICE SECTOR Designed to align with government and market interests and address primary barriers to energy reduction within commercial office buildings, the Race to Reduce is the first-of-its-kind energy reduction challenge that encourages Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) landlords and tenants to publicly commit to working together to reduce energy consumption within their respective buildings, while contributing to a meaningful collective energy reduction target of at least 10 per cent over four years. The Race to Reduce is a project of the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance. This report was made possible through the support of Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. Thank you to Liza Horowitz, who at the time was, Vice President Corporate Development and Marketing, The Delphi Group, for her invaluable volunteer efforts in helping us chronicle the early years of the Race to Reduce.
