Angeführt wird dieses traditionell vom Vorjahressieger; heuer heisst er Rick Gibson und kommt aus Kanada. Ebenfalls am Start sind die Saisonsieger 2015 Peter Fowler und Paul Wesselingh sowie der Schweizer André Bossert. 72 Professionals umfasst das Starterfeld; insgesamt 680 Titel bei internationalen Profiturnieren haben die Bad-Ragaz-Starter bereits gewonnen. Beim grössten Golfturnier der Deutschschweiz wird vom 3. bis 5. Juli um 300'000 Euro Preisgeld gespielt. Seit 2011 ist das Schweizer Event das älteste Turnier der European Senior Tour, das jedes Jahr auf dem gleichen Platz stattfindet. Vom 3. bis 5. Juli 2015 bereits zum 19. Mal. Erstmals aber unter neuem Namen: Swiss Seniors Open.
