The Book of Genesis is the beginning of virtually everything, the beginning of the universe, the world, of man, of family, of sin, the beginning of just about everything, except one thing………….the beginning of God. Studied Evolution vs Creation We all know verse 1, In the beginning God…………created the heavens and the earth. We have studied in the past Creation verses Evolution. We have laid the scientific laws side by side each of them, and I think conclusively proven that you have to receive each by faith. Even if Scientific Proof / Man would still be empty / Man must know his Creator As we have said before, this isn’t a science book, but when this book speaks of science it is always absolutely right-on. But you see even if you could scientifically prove that God created the heavens and earth, man is still left empty, for man must know who then is this God that created the heavens and earth. So maybe you believe in God, (Psalms 19:1 NKJV) The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. (Romans 1:20 NKJV) For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, but do you know Him personally / true argument is who is Jesus but do you know Him personally. You see the argument isn’t about science, it is about Jesus. Is this man Jesus who walked this earth 2000 years ago really who He said He was, God in the flesh? No doubt He walked this earth / look at Historical writings There is no doubt a man named Jesus walked this earth, there are too many historical facts that support that He did. If you really want to prove something out, go to an unbiased source that has no gain or loss in the matter and see what they said; there are many secular (non-Christian) historical writings that write about this Jesus, the history books reference Him. History books tell of the brutal Roman persecution of the Christians (the followers of Jesus); even the Jewish historical writings reference Jesus, even though they didn’t believe He was the Messiah, just that he claimed to be the Messiah. ABC / Divided Time / George Washington Today in our secular media, almost all are anti-Christian, they concur that a man name Jesus walked on this earth 2000 years ago. Time, Newsweek, ABC News, they don’t question His existence; they agree that there is too much documentation in existence that Jesus could have been a myth or a hoax. The whole world lives on a calendar based on Him, BC and AD. Just as no one alive today has seen George Washington, we all believe in this room that he existed and was our first President, why because of all the historical writings about him. Man or God / Teacher or Messiah / God or a lunatic Jesus Christ, was he a man?, or the God-man?, for the facts are in, He walked on this earth. His walk on the earth was so radical that He divided time (BC and AD); a man so radical that He claimed to be God; He claimed that He is the only way to heaven (John 14:6). Now some claimed He was a good teacher, a good man, but He was not God. He could not be a good man if He claimed to be God, and was not God. A good man cannot be someone who leads people astray. It comes down to one of two things, either Jesus Christ was God, or He was a lunatic, for only a lunatic would make such claims if they were not true. Genesis is beginning of His Story / The Scarlet thread This Old Testament shows us who Jesus is, and it all starts here in the Book of Genesis. Genesis, the book of beginnings; the beginning of the history of man, but more so, it is His-story. The story of the God who loves you so much that He would go to a hill in Palestine and be nailed in His hands and feet to a rugged cross, suffer 6 grueling hours, die, be buried, but rise again on the third day. There is a scarlet thread that is woven through this Old Testament, from Genesis through Malachi, 39 books, all with one main theme, the Messiah, God Himself, who would give Himself to redeem man from his sins. Genesis more than history book / It is His-story It all begins here in Genesis. In chapter 3 we will see the first mention of the Messiah who would be bruised for our iniquities (sin), chapter 5 the gospel laid out before us in the meaning of each name. We will see genealogy after genealogy, but they will all drop off until we come to just one genealogy, the genealogy leading up to the Messiah. This Old Testament, starting with Genesis, is more than the history of the children of Israel and Jewish Nation, this is His-story. Theme of this Book – for this is why He had to come: - slide (Genesis 3:15 NKJV) And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." (Genesis 3:15 noted) And I (God) will put enmity (hostility/hatred) Between you (satan) and the woman (mankind), And between your seed (demons) and her Seed (Jesus); He (Jesus) shall bruise your (satan) head, And you (satan) shall bruise His (Jesus) heel." Outline: - Slide Part 1 – The History of Major World Events (chapters 1-11) (spanning 2000+ years) • The Creation of the World and Man (1-2) • The Fall of Man (3-5) • The Flood of the World (6-9) • The Tower of Babel: the Dispersion of Man (10-11) Part 2 – The History of the Major Families (chapters 12-50) (spanning approximately 350 years) • The Life of Abraham (11-25) • The Life of Isaac (25-26) • The Life of Jacob (27-36) • The Life of Joseph (36-50) Genesis Chapter 1 In The Beginning (Genesis 1:1 NKJV) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 5 points for Laws of physics - Slide For you technically minded, I point out the 5 points needed for all the Laws of physics. Time, Force, Energy, Space, and Matter. All five are spoken of here in the first verse of the Book of Beginnings. Time (in the beginning), Force (God), Energy (created), Space (heavens), and Matter (earth). First Cause The Theory of Evolution is failed from the beginning because they do not have a “First Cause”, they say there was a Big Bang, but can’t explain where the Time, Force, Energy, Space, and Matter came from to support a Big Bang. As for the Creationist, the “First Cause” is God. Bara vs asa Also, interesting to note is that the word used here for create in the Hebrew is “bara”, it means to create out of nothing. The other creation will use the word “asa” which means to create from existing material.

Furthermore, the entire subject of the effects of rock on a listening audience varies considerably from listener to listener. The teen-ager just likes, the sound of the music and the feelings that the music brings out in him, while the adult still thinks of rock as a lot of noise no matter how many magazine articles they read or TV programs they see.

Iron Curtains and Satin Sheets: "Strange Loves" in Cold War Popular Music Russell Reising Cover of Jefferson Airplane's "Crown of Creation" Many Americans know of Dr. Ruth Westheimer, a tiny, grandmotherly woman with a heavy Germanic accent who, throughout the 1980s, dispensed love and sex advice to American television and radio audiences, often in shockingly, or at least titillatingly, graphic physical detail and frank language. A different doctor, one who also spoke in Germanically accented English, however, was in residence as the popular culture love and sex guru during the height of the Cold War. Stanley Kubrick's fictional Dr. Strangelove, the ex-Nazi defense theorist who stifled "Heil Hitler" salutes as he planned post-World War III orgies, lingers as a haunting reminder of the toll wreaked on human love and intimacy by the emotional terrors of the Cold War and its threat of instant nuclear obliteration. Even the resourceful Dr. Ruth would have a hard time offering advice to the Chiffons asking "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," when nuclear attack rendered the inevitability of "tomorrow" problematic, or to Tommy James and the Shondells's lovers who pant to each other "I Think We're Alone Now," if a nuclear war Copyright © 2003 by Russell Reising and Cultural Logic, ISSN 1097-3087 Reising 2 left them genuinely alone, the only two surviving human beings on earth. In some respects, rock and roll is the ultimate Cold War art form, the vehicle for the cathartic wails of a generation which was told to conform and aspire to a middle-class existence, but which knew all the while that the entire world could be incinerated in thirty minutes.

I'm one of a select group of radio isotope specialists, chosen for work at Red Stone Arsenal. My research is usually classified, so you are probably unfamiliar with my work on the proper irradiation of radioisotopes. I mention this in order for you to recognize me as a credible witness to a natural phenomenon never before believed possible. But wait! I'm getting ahead of my story. Perhaps one of the most astounding advancements in the history of science occurred May 22, 1973. At that time I was working in the research lab at Cape Canaveral. I had been placed in charge of the nuclear power reactor responsible for the manufacture of useful radio isotopes.

  • Addio a Paul Kantner, “The Brain” Dei Jefferson Airplane
