“The Sky Is No Limit. Making Big Dreams Reality"

All presentations depart from Per Wimmer’s exciting preparations for his trip to space in 2017-8 and will include video clips from training preparations (incl. weightlessness training, fighter jet flying, centrifuge training, SpaceShipOne launch, etc.), chronology of the project development from idea to reality, pre-launch preparations, the challenges and resistance along the way, reactions from family, friends and colleagues, etc.

One very popular presentation is “The Sky Is No Limit. Making Big Dreams Reality"

"We all have our ideas, visions and dreams which we would like to see happen. Unfortunately for many, these remain thoughts and do not become realities. How does one proceed from "the great idea" to concretely executing on a large project? - Part of the answer is to” follow your heart and be focused,” Per would reply. This presentation explores how Per Wimmer made his long standing dream about going to space reality. The core of the presentation is Per’s Seven Fundamental Values (see below) and the presentation also addresses elements of Global Teamwork, Leadership, Technology, a Pioneering Spirit and, above all, a good story about an Entrepreneurial Adventurer for whom “The Sky Is No Limit.” The presentation will include video footage from the space training, including Zero-G flights, centrifuge training and flying Russian MIG-25 fighter jets. Having visited over 72 countries on Earth, incl. some of the most remote places (visited the Amazone Indians; walked the live vulcanos of Hawaii; dived with sharks in the Fiji Islands, visited the Southern tip of Africa and South America; trekked the Inka trail to Macchu Pichu; visited the Easter Islands, ridden a Harley Davidson motorcycle coast-to-coast and back in the USA; done hangliding over the beaches of Rio de Janero - the ultimate adventure remains: Going to space…… Join the ride and let Per take you to unchartered new heights where the sky is no limit...... "

The Seven Fundamental Values of Wimmer Space include:

1. Allow Yourself to be Inspired. Think “Out of the Box” 2. Follow Your Heart and Passion. Have Fun. 3. Focus and Execution 4. Time Discipline: Be Conscious About Time Allocation. 5. Teamwork: The Sum of the Parts Is Greater Than the Individual Parts Alone 6. Take Calculated Risks. Asses Risks/Rewards. 7. Inspire Others, especially Children and Encourage Them to Live Their Dreams.

The other presentation themes can be customized and include the following propositions:  Pioneering/Entrepreneurial Spirit: Test new limits; do not be afraid of the unknown; only by aiming at the impossible are borders pushed; take calculated risks and enter unchartered territory. Only by trying something new are borders moved further out.  A World Record: First Tandem Sky Dive Over Mount Everest. Hear the story on how Per and Ralph Mitchell became the first two persons on Earth to conquer Mount Everest from the top.  New Technology: How can new technology break down old barriers? How can new technology help humans optain their goals and make everyday easier? Is new technology a threat? How dangerous is flying a rocket?  Global Teamwork/Leadership: Large projects typically require the syncronization of multiple forces and inputs. How does one lead and control the process? How do you make “the global orchestra” play to the same tune to everyone’s satisfaction?  Safety: How do you treat safety when the margin of error can only be zero? What risk/reward considerations does one make when one enters out into “new and deep waters?”

Who Is Per Wimmer?

Per Wimmer is expected to be the first Dane in space. He is signed up for three trips to space. Having completed almost all of his space training, he is eagerly awaiting the completion of the rocket vehicle test programs after which he will launch into space. His training has included weightlessness or Zero-G training, flying Russian MIG-fighter jets and both Russian and American centrifuges. He has successfully completed a full space flight launch and re-entry profile in the centrifuge.

On Oct 6, 2008, Per Wimmer wrote world history, together with Ralph Mitchell, by successful completing the first tandem sky dive over the highest point on Earth, Mount Everest. After six days of trekking, Per & Ralph flew in a Portus Pilatus airplane to an altitude of 29.500 feet (ca 9 Km), just above the peak of Mount Everest and jumped out in minus 50 degrees C and free fell for one minute before opening the parachute and landed at the Drop Zone at 12.350 feet (ca. 4 Km). This adventure, "Everest from the top," has never been done before and pushing the boundaries, being a pioneer is, indeed, part of what drives him.
