Reichardt 2010 supporters schedule Election Night gathering in Spring Lake
SPRING LAKE, Mich. -- Field Reichardt’s Primary Election Day will be a busy one, with plans to campaign for the Republican nomination in Michigan’s Second Congressional District throughout Tuesday until voters cast their last ballots.
On Primary Election Night, he will be in his hometown with campaign supporters.
After the polls close, friends of Field are gathering starting at 8 p.m. and running until whenever at the Wildwood Springs residential community clubhouse at 17835 Wildwood Springs Parkway in Spring Lake.
Reichardt has news media availability throughout Tuesday, including for one-on-one time on location or by telephone.
His schedule Tuesday for the “Second Wind Tour” is expected to include visits to all 11 counties – Allegan, Benzie, Kent, Lake, Manistee, Mason, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Ottawa and Wexford.
“The Second Wind Tour is about doing what I have done throughout my campaign: Sharing my approaches and stances on the issues in a positive and collegial manner, without the negative and tit-for-tat tactics my opponents are using,” Reichardt said. “It is all about common sense and uncommon courage.”
A Spring Lake resident and Grand Haven business owner, Reichardt is a traditional “Jerry Ford” Republican and is among seven candidates in the Aug. 3 Republican primary. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Reichardt is a fiscal conservative, international realist and social moderate who believes in protecting seniors and the environment, improving public education and the private-enterprise system, cost-effective government responsive to the people, a balanced federal budget and advocating for individual responsibility.
