SEASON REVIEW The 2000 WolfPack Cross Country team competed in ten meets this year. The men’s team had six runners, allowing the team to place, as a team, in six meets this season. Amy Hein was the only MATC woman runner this season.

The MATC men had their best finish of the season at the Viking Invitational in Appleton, Wisconsin, placing fourth. Jeff Snider (third) and Jon Ferris (tenth) placed in the top ten in the 8000 M race.

In the only in-town competition at the 14th Annual Turkey Trot, at Warner Park, in Madison, Jon Ferris (16:49.1) and Jeff Snider (17:20.0) finished second and fourth out of 71 in the men's 5K. On the women’s From Left to Right: Jeff Snider, Jon Ferris side, Amy Hein (24:28.1) finished 17th out of 46 women in the Women's 5K. Jon Ferris's time of 16:49.1 was a new MATC school record. Mike Cronin (30:43.5) and Don Smith (31:40.8) finished 21st and 26th out of 87 in the men's five mile.

Jon Ferris and Jeff Snider qualified for the 2000 NJCAA Division III National Cross Country Championships in Columbus, Ohio. At the national meet, on November 11th, Ferris and Snider finished 23rd and 40th, respectively, out of more than 100 runners.

The future of the program looks bright as Bill Hausler continues to send runners to nationals. In fact, Hausler has produced ten national qualifers in just the last three years.
